Bobby channels Lou Gagliard and his infatuation of big-titted cat furry:

Is thirsty Bob disapprovingly eye-rolling at the portrayal of a sexy and attractive comic book character? Seems out of character. Is it because it's a character that's liked by the "wrong" kind of people?

Also that MOS 8502 dipshit: "Tig Nataro as Tigra." I...I think I just threw up a little.🤢

So basically, dummies like Bob tell their friends "the blue curtains mean the author was SAD!" and then when their dreaded normy friends say "No, they don't" they decide they must be too dumb to get it, and when they write stories they feel the need to make everything as overt and obvious as possible. So, ironically, in trying make it clear how intelligent and mature their favorite media is, they only make it more infantile and stupid.

A great example of this would be the Twilight Zone. The original 60s version was as subtle as a brick to the face, but Jordan Peele decided to make it even more preachy. This strategy was so successful that you had to read this post to even remember Jordan Peele did a Twilight Zone reboot.
Why did you have to remind me? At least Rod Serling had a sensible point in his preachy episodes, which make sense when you consider he served in World War 2 and saw some fucked up shit (one of which was a private getting decapitated by a freaking food crate, no lie), that you could still disagree with without being called retarded, meaningless labels. Bob would suck Jordan's dick while spitting on Serling for "oppressing" the poor Japanese that laid traps under fallen soldier's corpses and used waterboarding before it went mainstream.

Honestly, if the MCU momentum is gone, I see a heavy reorientation toward the Xmen and Fantastic Four.

AKA thr only viable franchises Marvel had 20 years ago, pre-MCU.
I always like to claim that the MCU could have been about Thunderstrike and War Machine and Cannonball. Literally anyone Marvel had access to. It was the novelty of the concept. Which is to say, that making a whole string of movies that aren't a linear narrative that culminate in an actually finale. No one is gonna care after the finale beyond the kind of people who just get attached to serials. And they didn't have to be faithful to any kind of character development.

And no. I don't think it helped that they were recognizable. Because most of them weren't. Like someone said earlier. Iron Man has never had a movie. In fact he even got benched in a Marvel vs Capcom for War Machine. Back at maybe the most visible time for Marvel since the present day.

This would be a fun video to make and watch, and once upon a time it was Bob's wheelhouse. Until he pissed away his good will by being a lazy dick and not fact checking or knowing much. Which isn't even hard. I was just alive at the mid to late 90s playing video games and reading comics.

Related to a conversation 30 pages back, I can believe Bob was bullied. I'm even willing to say it was unjust and he didn't deserve it.

I don't know what bullying is like in the USA, but Bob seems to believe in the hollywood version of bullying. ie. Jocks in letterman jackets who punch nerds for being smarter than them. I was told earlier in the thread this don't really happen in real life.

But even giving Bob the benefit of every doubt, the fact he never got over it speaks volumes. This might be understandable if it was serious bullying, but again, all of his bullying stories are incredibly tame and seem lifted straight from teen comedies.

Yeah, this is something that keeps coming up.

Nobody except for a tiny number of comic book fans knew about Iron Man until the film came out. Spider-Man was the only Marvel character a normie could be counted on to know, and maybe Captain America with luck.

The MCU actually took a lot of risks starting with an obscure character played by an unpopular actor. Give them that much, they really pulled that off.

The shallowness, self-absorption, and spiritual desolation evident in that essay are so profound I'd eat a bullet if I had to dwell on it for too long. I'd feel sorry for both of them if they weren't cultural Visigoths with a genital fixation.
I know right?

Believe it or not I actually knew this girl just like Noelle Stevenson. She was a genderqueer college student with a bit of a savior complex aka White Knight syndrome.

To deal with her savior complex she wrote lot of self insert Mary Sue stories with herself as the main character.

Honestly, I can’t help but wonder why instead of doing fantasy stories that obviously don’t help much why don’t they get help? Like see a therapist?

I was in group therapy and it did wonders for my health.

A curious thing about this whole subculture that has taken over the "calarts kids" (even if they didn't go to calarts) is that a lot of them, more so the women, they have this obsession of being "unique", you know, they are always talking about how they were "the weird kid in school" and how they didn't dress like others, and what they like to watch is different and weird (but they all dream working for Disney), and there is certainly this idea that we see on the internet where people talk of "protagonists" and "mobs" and these animation kids desperately want to be seen as "the protagonist".

A lot of the so called lesbians do it for the"unique" status, and the bi bitches are just basic bitches who don't have a personality to go by.
Exactly.

You know why I can’t stand these modern artists, especially the women? It’s because they’re all bunch of basic bitches.

There’s nothing special about them. So what if they’re from an ethnic background or prefer the same sex instead of the opposite sex? There are a million other people just like them in the world. They think they’re special but they’re not.

Im also really bad at forgetting my Dad was an OG nerd. So, like Iron Man wasn't a household name. Or that anyone cared about the right way Spiderman holds his fingers to shoot his webs.

Anyway my point is, I don't know why anyone wants the F4 or the Xmen in the MCU. A real fan would recognize that these movies really aren't their characters. And that the Fox XMen films are going to be the best adaptations of those characters we will ever receive.

I do remember Iron man from older cartoons (like Armored Adventures and some stuff even older than that), but I'm sure people like Bob don't. Even less so Bob's 20something senpais.

In engineering programs at universities, everyone in your class was "the smart kid" in their high school. In art schools, everyone in your class was "the unique kid" in their high school. Noelle Stevenson probably was unique and different during her childhood and high school years, but then suddenly became not-so-unique when she went to a college full of people like her. If you're used to being the only person you know who's good at drawing, then you end up in a place where everyone's good at drawing, it can lead to feeling less stable in your identity, since how you previously defined yourself might not work in your new environment.
Bob was probably "the oppositional-defiant Mario kid", and I honestly don't know what the fuck you'd do with that.

Kino der Roberto does not strike me as a person most bullies would consider bullying. He's fat, dull, and uninteresting. Sure, you could get him screeching by mocking Mario, but that's gonna get old real fast. I'd bet that the bulk of his bullying just consisted of someone calling him a fag a couple of times.

On the other hand, think about how angry he manages to make a forum full of people who dedicate their lolcow hobby to being chill about what assholes they are. There is something about Bob that uniquely sets people's teeth on edge, and I can easily see that translating into some kind of bullying in real life, though I doubt it was anything close to his grandiose claims.

You're not wrong. However, we're looking at an end product, the result of years of poisoning himself with hard leftist theology, cheap booze, and impotent rage. We don't know what he was like when he was an obese little tard, waddling around with his Mario good-luck charm.

Edited because my spelling is off today

I think volume of content has a lot to do with it. He's a sad pathetic loser who spends all day on Twitter ranting and raving. & Why?

Because he has no real life no co-workers, he never collaborates with other content creators, and if he had friends he'd post about them like he does his family.

His mother and sister only seem to pop up on family gatherings and all he's got daily is Chris who shares his looney views and Chris' wife and kids that's it.

So he gives use a wealth of mock worthy material every single fucking day. No one else really comes close because even for cows most have friends or family or something. Blobby's got nothing as it should be.

I fear the 2005 Fantastic Four film will be as good as it gets for the characters. It wasn't terrible. Michael Chiklis put in a memorable performance as the Thing because of his passion for the character and Chris Evans was excellent Human Torch--hell, the two had good enough chemistry to make their "frenemies" relationship believable. Ioan Gruffudd was okay as Mister Fantastic, but Jessica Alba and Julian McMahon were badly miscast and the story was mediocre. Given the direction the MCU is going in... I have concerns.

Robert Hays, who voiced Tony Stark/Iron Man, in the 1994 animated series (and later Spider-Man: The Animated Series) could have played him in live action back in the 1980s or early 90s if he grew a mustache. Just saying.

Iron Man's absence from Marvel vs. Capcom was a licensing issue as Acclaim held the rights to him for their terrible Iron Man and X-O Manowar game.

Bob has one of the worst combinations of negative personality traits. Socially inept, overly angry, argumentative, combative, sociopathic, snobbish, a faux-superiority complex. All the stories we have of real-life interactions with him have never painted him in a good light. Everything turns into an argument with him or ends on some other negative note. Like LordKat's story about Bob getting angry that LordKat didn't already know who he was.

Even the ones Bob has told. That story about his boss at the public access channel really sticks out. Bob tries to paint it as his boss being a psycho. I see it as even the slightest disagreement with Bob has him going so nuts that it leaves the people around them concerned for their safety.

I think all of those issues come down to the same root problem: Bob is an entitled narcissist and he thinks other people have come up short in showing him the respect and admiration he deserves. Think about how he talks about the superior future: he doesn't describe it as what's best for humanity, or even what the decent people of the world deserves. He describes it as the future HE'S EARNED!

EDIT: Holy shit, do you guys realize how close we are to hitting 4k pages on this thread?! And that's even with the DDOS
I always assumed it would be another big event like getting fired by Escapist or Lindsay telling him to fuck off that would get him here. But it wasn't. It was just Bob being Bob, every day of the week.

It's why I wonder what he would have been like if he'd gone to Channel Awesome instead of Escapist, since CA fostered the idea of being a community. Would he and Linkara have made endless retarded "Movies" or would he have been fired pretty quickly like The Aussie Guy?

Do you have a link to this or did it disappear when LK purged his account?

He would have removed from CA immediately for insisting to be the "idea guy" while everyone else was building sets and memorizing lines. Also, he would have been blamed for the lack of catering by eating all the food.
