Palmer Report's wetdream of being important enough to be the target of a rightwing gayop wasn't coming true so he or his friend made it true, and he needs his twatter clout. Pass it on.
It's almost certainly that. Wikipedo skews hard-left, and any sort of right-leaning "vandalism," be it actual vandalism or bringing up information that hurts the narrative, would be removed within minutes, if said articles weren't put under lockdown to begin with.

Progressives and Dems love the Palmer Report.

"We are not targeting anybody, see, we also have this crazy guy we point out".

At this rate, websites who walk in the path of Drudge Report like Citizens Free Press and the Noah Report are more popular than the Palmer Report who might go the way of Vice and Buzzfeed.

Yeah okay. Joe Biden, yes *that* Joe Biden, the one who didn't campaign at all, has the most votes in the history of the country. It's not just that I don't believe it. I don't think it's possible to believe that. Orange Hitler is many things. I think outside his more rabid fanbase you could call him a mediocre president. He was more bluster than substance, however much you can attribute that to the slimy corrupt government lying and blocking him is up to you. He didn't kill the economy, and basically all of the social unrest was a direct result of Democrats angrily stirring the pot. I think the TDS brigade turns the focus on scoffing about Orangebadman's perceived popularity being lower than it was because it deflects from the hilarious idea that The Corpse managed to get a frankly nonsensical turnout.

What I'm saying is, if 2020 was somehow, in defiance of all statistical credibility, completely legit? It means that the Democrats, not the politicians, but the ones on the street are some combination of so stupid and so brainrotted from TDS that they looked at two of the slimiest, least charismatic career politicians the DNC ever squirted out (one of whom has actual, visible sundowning symptoms of dementia as opposed to the fantasy dementia TDS cultists think Trump has because they disagree with him) and said "Yep! This is the year I get off my ass and vote. The DNC has been urging their base to burn cities down, ripped up the SOTU address like bratty kids, given us living memes like AOC and Omar, and promise naught but a return to the career corruption of old dialed up to 11. NOW they've earned my ballot. Time to destroy turnout records."

I was in a lefty echo chamber for most of the Trump administration. And yes, they really are that stupid and brainrotted. Maybe not most of them, but the ones with power and influence skew disproportionately towards brainrot. And I'm not just referring to the laaamestreeeam meeedia. Independent creators skew brainrot as well.

One of the more depressing examples of this would be Jason Windsor, better known as the "End Of Ze World" guy, who is known for the way humourously depicted a nuclear war in one of the internet's first ever viral videos (2003).

He has since followed this up with the mother of all disappointing sequels in 2018...

...which is pretty much nothing but jokes about Trump and callbacks to the original. Democrat talking points are made (he wants to deport Mexicans, ban Muslins, transgender military ban, etc). It also relies very heavily on grossout humour, whereas the original didn't at all.

Trump is drawn with a butt for a face. Trump is drawn as a hemorrhoid. Steve Bannon is drawn as a fatberg. Trump is shown farting out tweets - twice. Trump is drawn with an extremely small penis. He is also shown jousting with Kim Jong-Un with nuclear missiles held at groin-height. And he is later shown starting a nuclear war with his tweets.

The video ends with a call to action telling people to vote out Trump and contact their elected representatives - so that California doesn't have to break away, and the United States truly can be for everyone... except for the alt-right nahtzees, who can all fuck off to Mars or something.

(I know I'm late to the party with this, but AFAIK no one was talking about it on the Farms at the time.)

My point is that no one told him to make this. I mean, Vox did give him an interview, but I sense that he wanted to do it anyway, because he actually said in the interview that both videos were the result of him sperging about world events.

The difference is that when leftists sperged on the early internet, they didn't take themselves too seriously, and generally often kept the tone light. When leftists sperg now, it's done with the conviction of someone who is certain they're on the right side of history, and that we're living through the second Holocaust.

I don't know how many apolitical people are convinced by this, but I do believe it's reflected in the election tally. And do bear in mind that for every TDS spergout we see, there are hundreds that we don't see. Plus, whenever people do crap like this in public, they typically get far more people agreeing with them than disagreeing.

So I've no doubt that all this, (plus the election-year threat of COOOOVVIIID) was enough to make them to turn out to vote for Biden in record numbers.

There's a word I heard in discussion, it's similar to "conspiracy" but is referencing parallel actions. So for the election example, it's not that you had some group come together saying "OK this is how we're going to stop Trump..." Rather you convince enough people that Trump is so dangerous that they all take it upon themselves to do actions like... fill out multiple ballots (which just so happened to have been mailed to your home).

It is fun to see the expressions when I ask people "what makes Trump so different from Clinton?" (Right answer: very little) I hope history finds some way of preserving just how insane these years were.

You're thinking of flocking behavior. Its the same way a flock of birds, or school of fish move around in seemingly coordinated ways, but are not actually centrally led. Every bird or fish acts autonomously, but they all have the exact same set of rules which causes the flock behavior to emerge. In this case, the simple rule/goal was 'destroy election integrity to stop Trump' and thus everyone seems coordinated.

The word you're looking for is groupthink.

Or at least, that is how I usually explain it to my left-wing friends and family in terms I can be sure they'll understand.

They may not always agree with me (in fact they rarely do), but they do at least understand and not write me off as some far-right conspiracy loony theorist for saying news and social media have a bias.

:cringe:

Almost looks like this meme is spitting on the graves of both the victims from the Vietnam War and the Coronavirus by trying to own Trump
Didn’t Biden actually dodge the draft though? I know Clinton did and Kerry basically demanded a Purple Heart for scraping his knee before smearing the people actually fighting the war once he got home.
