While I still think he faked his online death for attention, I came to this thread seeking information about his alleged suicide as someone who respected/respects him for everything he's contributed to the world of console emulation. Literally just yesterday I was playing games on the SD2SNES flashcart I just bought and marveling at how I could play Mega Man X and Chrono Trigger with CD-quality audio thanks to the MSU-1 "chip" Byuu invented. Not everyone here wants him to be dead--in fact, you'd probably be surprised how very few farmers actually do. Whatever he's doing now, I wish him the best of luck in his new life--after he comes clean about staging the end of his old one.

Isn't it possible that byuu has tried to start over on the 'Japanese Internet'? Line or something similar could be a good hiding spot since it seems the vast majority of people involved in this drama don't speak enough Japanese to even navigate it. There's Japanese Twitter as well, of course.
I think the only way byuu could continue any kind of online life without being found out would be if he broke up every single interest of his into hyper-specific personas with no overlap, because if we find a Japanese Twitter page with furry shit alongside Bahamut Lagoon, for instance, that would be pretty blatant. In that case, it seems like it might be impossible to find any new alts if they do exist, but perhaps there would be some hallmarks of his posting style or a rhythm to the activity between suspected accounts.
And to take my theory to the logical extreme for a moment- byuu lays low for a year, then becomes an anonymous uwu Japanesu catgirl VTuber and nobody is the wiser. Now that I think of it, I kind of hope this happens.

I've lived in Japan for over 20 years. I'm fluent in Japanese. I've looked, and found NOTHING about him anywhere other than a handful of people talking about the articles posted overseas based on that faggot mud-Asian Marcan42's bullshit tweets.

I've also played Chrono Trigger too, but I haven't beaten it (I'm at the endgame currently and need to grind for the final gauntlet).
Also, as for those warp pipes that send up back a couple of worlds in Jap SMB2, there are some that even take you all the way back to World 1

After everything that had happened last week, as well as what's been posted here, these freaks seem to have gone quiet a little too quickly, all things considered.

People keep saying, "hurr, Jersh could've been nice to Byuu, hurr," keep missing an important point; Byuu/Near approached Null in BAD FAITH when he wanted to "negotiate" having his thread removed, with suicide being the "consequence" if Null refused.

Null, owing NOTHING to this freak, made the right call of refusing this freak, especially when money came into play.

My guess is that Byuu/Near is still alive, but is in hiding. As much as some are hoping he comes out of hiding soon, it's a safe bet that once enough time has passed, it'll come out and try to act like nothing happened.

It would be pointless to explain that since people you could be trying to convince already know all that.
