Not that I take anything China says at face value, but I can see them vaccinating more people than other countries.

They're an authoritarian nation that doesn't give a shit about their people's wellbeing, of course they can make their civilians take the jab under threat of punishment for them and their immediate family. I think the division in America is being egged on by the powers that shouldn't be. America used to represent freedom and independence, and globalist tyrants don't like those things.

I've been thinking this for years. The US is so powerful and so influential that it effectively rules the world. It's the homeland of a lot of resources the globalist tyrants use to enforce their rule and maintain power. But I think they're convinced now that it's too risky to keep the US in one piece. They want America divided and weak so that power never turns on them, and they'll burn the country down if it ever looks like they're losing power. So for over a year, our travel industry has been shut down. The only planes operating regular multiple per day pax flights out of Sydney Airport have been China Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Emirates, Cathay Pacific and Qatar Airlines.
Qantas, our national carrier, has been effectively grounded and only operating their local Jetstar flights at a very reduced capacity, when internal borders haven't been shut.

Flights in and out of Australia have been kneecapped, bar for ones to and from China. Mysterious how that works.

There's something terrifying about how for most of 2020 and 2021, the only parts of the planet that were even remotely free and normal was rural red states (not sure how bad the two "cities" in South Dakota were), areas home to maybe 50 million people total.

I suppose most of Africa or anywhere 3rd world and remote counts too, but that's only because the government has no power there, only whoever has the money to bribe officials. And most all places did impose increasingly nonsensical restrictions, all except for a few red states who mostly remained free except for urban shitholes. In these rural counties, it was the only place on the planet still legal (as in actually legal, not "nobody enforces the law") to do perfectly normal things like "go to the store and you and the clerk can see each other's face." Even just a few months ago, things like "walk into a crowded restaurant and nobody is covering their face" would be unheard of outside of this belt of freedom.

I really wonder if it's possible to teach your average leftist, your average Democrat voter and not a total progressive zombie (who will never learn BTW), of how wonderful this is. It's very simple - the virus has become so heavily politicized that it has transcended from a virus of concern (initial outset) to an apotheosized, deified system of beliefs.

We see science(TM), or some scientisisms in actions. Whitepapers that were published 5 minutes ago, weren't peer reviewed, weren't replicated reported as Truth, obscure academics who until 5 minutes ago were run-of-the-mill in their branch, no better or worse than thousands like them are now talking heads on telly, pretending like there isn't any disagreement to then. Scientists, social or hard sciences, which were opposed to lockdowns were ignored and then villified by mass media even tho examples of Texas and Florida proved them right. Until this day no peer reviewed paper been published that would demonstrate that Kent variant was deadlier than original, and yet for half a year this been reported as "Truth". We see same shit with Indian one too, only evidence of it being much LESS deadly are overwhelming.

Which, btw., isn't something I fully understood. The vaccines train the body to recognize the spike protein, right? If the mutations escape the immune response, wouldn't that mean that the spike protein changed as well? And since the original spike protein caused a lot of the inflammation symptoms, couldn't that eventually lead to a much more harmless variant without any of the nasty stuff that the original Coof brought?

Until this day no peer reviewed paper been published that would demonstrate that Kent variant was deadlier than original, and yet for half a year this been reported as "Truth". We see same shit with Indian one too, only evidence of it being much LESS deadly are overwhelming.

Keep a watch on Australia. Sydney reported 35 new cases today, double yesterdays number. Aussies have no natural immunity from the coof and only a small percentage of the population have been vaccinated because they think the AZ vaccine is shit and that's the one their government decided to buy.

So far there have been two small(ish) outbreaks of muh Delta variant in Melbourne last month and Sydney this month with around 1000 cumulative cases, including nursing home patients. So far they have reported zero deaths.

Reading the Aussie media it's all about case numbers and when they're going to get the Pfizer vaccine. Bit of a change from last year when all I was reading was tragic stories about how a 99 year old cancer patient was taken from us far too soon by the dreaded coof.
