I find it both sad and funny that Kevin is afraid of thunder, despite being almost middle-aged by this point. It's especially bad to me, since my dog had a similar problem with thunder and loud noises when he was younger. Yet now that he's older (about fourteen or so) he has no fear of such things. Amazing how a dog is better at conquering its fears than Kevin is.

Yeah this is so profoundly wrong and fucked up. Parents are fiduciaries for their children. It is the role of all responsible parents to protect children for harm both external and internal. I would never "let" my child be trans, just as I would never let my child live with an eating disorder, engage in hard drug use, prostitute themselves, self-mutilate, join a cult, etc. There's a gulf of difference between letting a young person "find themselves" and permitting them to engage in behaviors that cause irreparable harm.
As for the charge that I harbor "transphobia" for thinking this way........... why yes I am transphobic, how could you tell? *insert gigachad smile*
