Has anybody looked at any of Hector's code and compared it to Byuu/Near's? It'd be an interesting avenue to pursue for a moment and would probably be noticeable enough if there is any major similarities in style.

I have a theory about Hector. Let me first clarify that this is all based off the fact that he is fat and I would not have sex with him.
Hector probably shits himself repeatedly throughout the day. He presumably then takes that waste and fingerpaints swastikas on the homes of deceased transgendered persons. Hector also may or may not have impersonated a police officer, a pilot, a doctor, a customs agent, a wine taster and a forklift operator and yes, I'm afraid he did that all concurrently. At least, that's what we're forced to believe until he comes out with a public refutation of this on his Twitter account.

The code would hardly be relevant here since, you know, open source. If Hector were working off Byuu's code of course you'd see similarities, and I don't think you'd need to be on a first name basis with Byuu to access that kind of thing, would you? It's likely a dead end.

Back in the day, fail0verflow aka Team Twizzers released an exploit that opened the doors to homebrew on the Wii. This came along with backup loaders, that let you play ISOs of retail games. As you probably know, the Wii was rampant with piracy (and coincidentally also was Nintendo's best selling home console
).
Hector didn't like the outcome of this, since he only wanted his exploits to be used for homebrew... so when the Wii U came along he chose to keep the exploits he found to himself, and/or disclosing them to Nintendo privately. He'd go on twitter and say stuff like "I found this neat exploit, but I can't tell you how it works because I don't want another Wii situation". IIRC he did end up talking about the exploits, but only after they were patched.
And if you look at his tweets from 2 months ago he's whinging about Richard Stallman and how he deserves being deplatformed and fired from the Free Software Foundation due to his 'ableist/mysogynistic/transphobic comments' and alongside his leftie peers they were REEEE'ing hard about him being brought back after he resigned due to the aforementioned backlash.
He also vocally supported of Coraline Ada (the reason the CoC was implemented in many FOSS projects).
All the 'hacking' he does nowadays is playing Bad Apple on some novelty devices.

Yea that's the thing that throws me off a bit. When rereading the archives of his 4chan history it definitely makes me believe he is alive and pulled this stunt to kill off his online public persona so that he could do his own things, on his own time, and discuss it without obligations and ancient history bringing him down. He's pretty much literally stated that several times in his posts. However a clue may be when he said "kiwi farms is hated by a lot in my circle" and since he had to collaborate with his friends to pull this off, it may not be that far fetched of a theory.
