Just finished Scramble. I think it could have been better, but it was still very good. It definitely responded to the ideas of Persona 5 in a way that was better than what Persona 5 Royal did.

SMT IV has some of the most beautifully crafted UI and Burroughs is my lover.I don't want persona in SMT, I'm just wondering where the fuck their UI designers went
What, you didn't like how atlus added another mary sue girl that magically inserted herself into the canon in a re-release for the nth time?Just finished Scramble. Well, to be fair, I think they handled Sumi in a better way than they handled Marie in P4G. Her inclusion still felt really ham-fisted though. What, you didn't like how atlus added another mary sue girl that magically inserted herself into the canon in a re-release for the nth time?
Didn't they do exactly that? I haven't watched the videos myself, but everyone's been talking about unique skills being added for each demon. All the Youtube videos of demons makes me wish that the devs would make the extra step to make every demon more unique by special skills or abilities that will give players a reason to keep a demon even after a new batch comes out (besides fapping material).
yeah. whats the point of showing off the early game demons when you gonna replace them anyway two hours tops. some poor casual is gonna treat them like pokemons and refuse to fuse them. All the Youtube videos of demons makes me wish that the devs would make the extra step to make every demon more unique by special skills or abilities that will give players a reason to keep a demon even after a new batch comes out (besides fapping material).
The only exception to this is Jack Frost.DEMONS ARE NOT YOUR FRIENDS DUMBASS!
its kinda hard to do crossover like that since the older characters keep aging and than you have to explain why they did not intervene in the newest games (like co mon, we all know the kirijo group knew something was fucky during persona 5 with shido and yet did nothing?).Do you think that Atlus could make a canonical crossover with the Persona 3, 4, and 5 characters without it devolving into some MCU bullshit like what happened in Persona 4 Arena Ultimax? On one hand I feel like it would be a trashy cash-grab, but I still kind of want it.
The one biggest narrative hurdle I feel like Atlus would have to get over (other than Persona 4 Arena Ultimax's story) would be what the fuck Mitsuru was doing during the events of Persona 5, Royal, and Scramble.
Black frost can stay. that nigga is coolThe only exception to this is Jack Frost.
Who said anything about friends? I want a harem.DEMONS ARE NOT YOUR FRIENDS DUMBASS!
Did they say whether PQ2 was 'canon' like the first one?Do you think that Atlus could make a canonical crossover with the Persona 3, 4, and 5 characters without it devolving into some MCU bullshit like what happened in Persona 4 Arena Ultimax? Besides having cool/horny party the problem is that making the next rank of demons removes a lot of the thinking involved, especially if there is no limit on skill inheritance and the game lets you choose which skills to inherit.yeah. whats the point of showing off the early game demons when you gonna replace them anyway two hours tops. some poor casual is gonna treat them like pokemons and refuse to fuse them.

It would turn out awful. You could maybe bring an older P3 character in as an S-Link character to advise the protagonist but going beyond that would devolve into a cheesy clusterfuck.Do you think that Atlus could make a canonical crossover with the Persona 3, 4, and 5 characters without it devolving into some MCU bullshit like what happened in Persona 4 Arena Ultimax? I don't think I agree with you. While I hate Ultimax, the original arena game turned out quite well. I think it can be done, but it would be hard to do.It would turn out awful. This is basically the problem. They hand-waved Mitsuru not intervening during the events of Persona 4 away with the fact that Inaba is in the middle of nowhere and shit doesn't really get real there until the last month of the game. In Persona 5 you can't get away with that, because you have a big politician using the metaverse to mind-rape his way into the office of Prime Minister of Japan. The only way you can get around Mitsuru not doing anything is if something really bad happened to SEES/the Kirijo Group between the events of Ultimax and Persona 5 or they were busy with some sort of greater threat.its kinda hard to do crossover like that since the older characters keep aging and than you have to explain why they did not intervene in the newest games (like co mon, we all know the kirijo group knew something was fucky during persona 5 with shido and yet did nothing?).
i rather not have another OC like Sho again.
I didn't play the PQ games, but from what I understand there is some time travel stuff going on and all of the party members lose their memories after the game is finished, so it effectively has no impact on the plot.Did they say whether PQ2 was 'canon' like the first one?
Regardless, I appreciate that they let each game be stand alone and not have the old casts barge their way in. Easter eggs if you watch the TV's are perfect.
the best route for a crossover spinoff in my opinion would be a strategy rpg.... something along the lines of project x zone but a lot less shallowI don't think I agree with you. While I hate Ultimax, the original arena game turned out quite well. I think it can be done, but it would be hard to do.

I personally would not like it if they introduced older Persona party members into new mainline Persona games. I think that sort of stuff would be best left to the spinoffs. I might sound like a bit of a consoomer here, but I really want to see Atlus try to make a good Persona spinoff with all three parties. I liked seeing how the P3 team grew after the events of Persona 3 and I liked seeing them interact with the P4 team. I think there is a lot of potential here, though I think the plot would need to be very focused on a single event (like Persona 4 Arena) and it might be a good idea to not fit every member of every team into the game (like Persona 4 Arena).
Semi related note: I would like to see Atlus make another scramble-style game with the P3 or P4 cast or at the very least bring back Raidou. That shit was pretty fun.
Persona X Majin Tensei?the best route for a crossover spinoff in my opinion would be a strategy rpg.... something along the lines of project x zone but a lot less shallow
You'd think the sequels like DAN, Arena, Strikers and The Answer that dont address that would set them offYou won't have any canon crossover for the simple reason that it will upset the shippers. Any character from Persona games will be criticized in not dedicating their entire life for the sake of the MC, and that goes double for the female characters who cannot appear because then you'd sink the otakus and fujoshis ships.
