Do we have a proper headcount? We started with what, 200? Somehow there's now far less if I'm reading correctly.

Must be Earl stealing them at night.
We keep getting different numbers; at one point there were 200, I think it was quoted as 170 after the winter, someone in-thread claimed there was a shearing headcount as low as 127 (though I don't recall seeing that number from the ranch itself), who even knows at this point. We do know the ranch has talked about losing alpaca, and said casually enough that it suggests it's not an uncommon thing. Who knows, really, until they give a helpful solid number again.

Okay let me redig on this. I have NOT watched all the videos or listened to all the podcasts yet to autistically place together every word. But the 9 News media does say 180 alpaca. The most damning evidence would be the ranchers own words for exact numbers.

The number clearly took a dive from the 180 range to 150-130ish with now 11 baby cria. Sheep count is the same + some babies (these are going to be sold, we did lose one baby to Tranchero retardation removing it from its mom). Duck population also seems stable-ish. Haven't seen many chicken since they were in the coop with the Alpaca lol. We know they gave up one dog as well.

Thanks you beautiful autistic, I knew someone would have the hard numbers. The 130-150 seems reasonable as a guess, when extrapolating from their '127 sheared by day 2 (of how many total, idk)' and considering that they wouldn't have shaved crias, pregnant alpaca, maybe the random vicuña based on what the shearer told them, and probably a handful of others for various reasons.

Though your glorious recap does raise another question; only three surviving lambs?? Where did you get that number from, I remember them saying that at least 9 were expected. I know we all figured that most would fucking die but did we actually get confirmation on most of them dropping dead?

I think they did shave the pregnant alpaca becauase the moms with the newest Cria all have haircuts. They probably shaved them in a different manner though. They did shave the Vicuña btw. He has a photo being sheared.

I may be retarded and have gotten the number of lambs wrong. But i know they had one lamb that died because they removed it from mom. I'll change my post to reflect my retardation

I'm curious for more details about the ducks. If they ordered a straight run (mixed gender) batch of ducklings, then depending on who they were dealing with they might have gotten all drakes. Metzer Farm in California is a bit infamous for sending out their unwanted drakes in straight runs and not including any females. I've personally had them do exactly that on an order. 10 ducks and 9 were males. Ducks are the easiest poultry to sex when they're small, so the odds this was a genuine mistake are pretty low.

Everyone on the Tranch is so confused about their own sex/gender, I'm not sure how they'd accurately sex a duck (shut up, you know what I meant).

Also, I'd put low odds on them getting ducklings at any point unless they give the ducks their own designated area. The females really need somewhere quiet and secluded they can hide their eggs in order to hatch them, as the drakes will harass them non-stop even when they're trying to brood, and excessive foot-traffic can fluster them into abandoning an established nest. Domestic chickens and ducks have largely been bred to have no idea how to successfully reproduce themselves, and in some cases don't have the instincts that would make them even attempt it.*

*This is depends entirely on the breed of the poultry. Muscovy ducks (which aren't really ducks, but I digress) have great parenting instincts, but they also aren't commercially farmed. Silkie chickens also go broody at the drop of a hat and are great mothers, but again, no factory farm would bother with them.

I'd say their biggest concern is being overrun by sheep and/or alpacas, but that would require their lambs and crias to survive longer than the average fruit fly.

If you can use the duck to open a bottle of wine, it's male.

I genuinely feel bad for those poor animals. Death from gross mismanagement and inadequate feeding can be a very prolonged and torturous one. At least animals in industrial farms live short lives, but those unfortunate ones will suffer for years. Also, I watched some of the videos above, and damn those troons are so fucking ugly. The black-haired one especially looks abhorrent. Those "individuals" must have constructed a fantastical world in their rotten brains to be so convinced of the delusions that they are engaged to. I mean, I have seen lots of trannies that at least try to "pass", but they have done literally no effort to back their claims.

Is he about to learn about section 230? Who else but those KiwiFarms chuds have spoken ill of the Tranch? That conservative newspaper that dared to accurately describe them like a year ago?
Both he and Penny are so man-fingered when they post. I can't even tell if this is supposed to say 'liability' or 'libel'.

People have been talking about them within the community. There could conceivably be some sort of defamation that caused damage to either the Tranch or their ability to get work within the community. Given Paul's inability to even spell libel let alone understand what it means, there could even be a tortious interference if they believe a specific contract was violated. We have seen a recent uptick in them working externally given the less than enthusiastic response to the latest GFM. Them having some unknown actionable tort is the most optimistic take someone can give, but it is not inconceivable.

Whether or not what someone said counts as libel, slander, or TI doesn't stop them from fishing for a lolsuit or even starting one if they're dumb enough. The L&L LLP subforum has any number of lolsuits about defamation and TI. I do hope they go after the Farms for posting their tweets and accessing public information because that would be the funniest option.

Yeah, uh, our strong feelings of disphoria and seething envy of Tenacious Unicorn Ranch and its rampant success made us participate in these threads. I mean come on Kev Kathryn, you've mused about "do I want to fuck her or wear her skin be her" before, right? Surely you can see all the poor widdle eggs rolling around the 'Farms could feel the same thing? Have you seen a kiwi? It's basically an egg bird! Look!

So here's what Jen is doing while the rest of the troons move big rocks
