The comics
There’s been an interesting discussion in the last few weeks about the load of BS slapped into many of the comics, over on the Avatar thread.

I’ve read some, but thankfully missed this one you pointed out above. Absolute crap.

The comics & novels are really hit or miss. Kyoshi novels were good enough, I’d give them a C+/ B-, they held up, but skimmed over things that could have been gone into more. I think the writer, FC Yee, was afraid to take risks, so, they are rather average. Risks either pay off, or totally tank.

The Air Bender storyline you highlighted was a complete tank, total miss.

Still, it’s nice seeing Avatar outrank Nu-Ra on that list. Noelle Stevenson led projects have been a blight; poison to kids minds.

It's even making the rounds on Twitter.

Noelle’s almost certainly seething right now. Her crappy show has been pwnd by the show it set out to imitate and never even came close.
I honestly really doubt that. It's pretty clear they don't give a shit about public opinion and can just manufacture public consent through the media. It's not like we have a shortage of sheep unironically going to the NYT and CNN for their views. And with how much money these companies lose it's pretty clear that they unironically value this shit over money.
If that's the case, then they are truly fools as it's public opinion that got them where they are now and with sufficient provocation, can send them back to where they were before.

In case you'd like to follow along
Clownfish thread
Pretty much they're claiming bot Twitter accounts are after them due to She-Ra fans or being the enemy of Kevin Smith.
man, geeky starts to sound like a cringey bitter Karen jealous of a more successful younger colleague.
At least Noelle finished her webcomics.

Randomly found this image on /co/ and thought it summed up Noelle Stevenson perfectly

The Trollhunters movie is out, but whether it's good, bad or a hidden gem is best left up to observation. The series was good in a "not popular, but still good" kind of way, and I hope it stays true for the movie.

Grace Randolph reviewed it and yeah it's exactly what everyone expected complete with Teela now being a lesbian lmao. RIP He-Ro I guess.

Yeah, that is a bunch of bullshit for the most part.

I'll agree with the deaths and "scary" bits on the not being for Young Children.

Subtext? Yes. Teela and her friend are holding hands to run. Hand on the shoulder to reassure. However, Teela and Adam clearly have feelings for each other.

No Strong Male Characters? Sure, Tell that to Orko, Roboto, King Grayskull, and Prince Fucking Adam. You can argue due to the events of Episode 1, that people were ALL damaged goods. Everyone saddles back up.

My major complaints are the most of the Voice Actors phone it in and a lot of the He-Man Mythos are merged together and it doesn't 100% fit that way.

These review assholes have an agenda. Watch the episodes. If you don't like it, then at least you found it out for yourself.

Alright I gave it a watch, Grace was being pretty disingenuous about the so called queerbaiting and Adam is a decent character even if he does get shafted just to make way for Teela especially at the end of the fifth episode. Also everyone sucking Teela's dick in the first episode alone got a little grating and her reaction to finding out Adam' s secret was a bit over the top.

Overall I'd give it a 4/10.

Voice acting's bad because they hired a bunch of former TV celebrities no one gives a fuck about anymore (Sarah Michelle Gellar was always a mediocre actress, who the hell cares about Buffy now??)
At least my ship is validated, so I'm good
