She-Ra and the Princess of Power - sjw bad animation reboot of shera

I don't know because I don't actually watch this stuff complaining about shows I don't watch, I know but wasn't Avatar wrapped up years ago? Was Nu-Ra beaten by reruns as well as Boss Baby?

Hell, they could have even killed off Man-At-Arms to give Teela the motivation as wel

That blank-faced robot-looking character in the background of some images, is that Robot-At-Arms? The construct that Duncan uploaded his personality into before he was turned into a snakeman and killed?

And on top of all of this, there is already a female He-Man. It's She-Ra, for the freakin' love of god!

The bit about Skeletor is, unfortunately, not assuring.

So okay, I'll wait for part 2, but honestly it started to seem like a huge missed opportunity on Mattel's part. Why couldn't they make it an MCU style crossover series featuring both He-man AND She-ra characters? Now it seems like Adora doesn't even exist in Revelation continuity since it's a "spiritual" sequel, apparently.

Not only that. It seems to be more gradual IIRC, but straight women aren’t allowed role models either anymore. Strong whamen also have be gay at increasing rates. I suppose it’s only a matter of time before even the lesbians aren’t allowed role models unless they transition and suck girldick.

I’m all for having diverse heroes, but this kind of woke vengefulness just isn’t healthy and it’s only getting worse. Small wonder that alphabet soup acceptance rates are suddenly falling.
It's like I’ve said in the BreadTube thread. With all this woke vengefulness, coupled with shit like the Drag Kids, Drag Queen storytime and Kink at Pride, the alphabet crowd are in serious danger of losing the sympathy and trust of the public which they worked decades to earn (and worse, will probably never be able to get back) and end up how they were pre-stonewall (by that point, even the MSN and the left itself might abandon them).

I honestly really doubt that. It's pretty clear they don't give a shit about public opinion and can just manufacture public consent through the media. It's not like we have a shortage of sheep unironically going to the NYT and CNN for their views. And with how much money these companies lose it's pretty clear that they unironically value this shit over money.

I just love how Avatar, a show that is almost 20 years old, is beating literally all of the rest of the kids shows.

Really exemplifies that good shit is timeless, and that kids are smarter than adults give them credit for. Kids want good storytelling just as much as the rest of us do.

I finally watched Avatar last year for the first time, by the way. When it came out way back in the day, I completely ignored it given that it was a cartoon on Nickelodeon and that I thought I was "too old" for it. Then, when people told me to check it out, it was basically on my "to watch" list for about a decade, lol. Glad I finally watched it though, because I thought the show was wonderful (especially Book II).

Good shit in entertainment these days is truly hard to find, and that applies to all demographics, unfortunately.

The fact that it beats out its sequel, Legend of Korra, by several numbers makes it sweeter.

I have not seen Korra ... But literally every single Avatar superfan I know (and I have quite a few in my extended family especially) have "warned" me about it and have told me to "manage my expectations."

I'll eventually watch it, but my expectations are basically on the floor. lol.

Only consistently good thing about Korra is the rule34. There isn't much official good of Korra as the showrunners kept fucking the original LoK characters and the legacy AtLA characters like Aang in the flashbacks and the present with how he treated his kids.
However there is one plus side as LoK did provide further confirmation Firebender what-his-name was in the right for killing off the Airbenders who're nothing but a holier than thou bender supremacist cunts. And why nobody including the water and earth benders couldn't be arse to shed a tear over them being gone.

Wait. You mean the Air Nomads were supremacist and xenocentric about their own culture?

I stopped watching LoK after the absurd kaiju battle.

A reincarnating protagonist is honestly a huge boon to any authors wanting to explore classism, sexism, racism, homophobia, etc because the protagonist could have personally experienced all walks of life. How would such a gestalt person even perceive man’s inhumanity to their fellow man? Would they even be capable of feeling anything but exhaustion with human stupidity after seeing civilizations make the same mistakes over and over without learning anything? Unfortunately, I’m not aware of any fiction that tackles this.

I mean, I'm not doubting you at all, but this is just...how the hell?
The comics even have an entire side-story about cultural appropriation:

It ends with them becoming live-in unpaid caretakers of the air temples, builders of the new air temples, and servants of Aang and his family.

All this, by the way, happens before airbuilding is restored to the world, so they don't even have airbending powers.

That's too hard to write thoooo.
For those of you who haven't seen, that's why Korra had the brilliant solution of...
killing off Korra's connection to the previous Avatars.

I said it before and I will say it again, the story wasn't written by Aaron Ehihaz. So the story is null and void.
