It really amazes me how the cultists think Trump was this super popular president. He was pretty widely disliked by all but his cult. His cult was very, very enthusiastic about him, but their vote still counts as much as the person who reluctantly voted for Biden.

Right-wingers are convinced that any news source that doesn't tell them exactly what they want to hear is ZOMG BIASED, so they listen to their own news outlets that assure them that Trump is beloved by all of America and his critics are just a very loud minority.

He could have at least tried to be consistent. He blamed China for the plague but also denied it was serious. Since he couldn't very well deny the bodycount (well tbf, that worked on a lot of his supporters), his message should have been that America is under attack and we need to fight by taking those terribly inconvenient measures and the culprit is China. His cult would then have been the most fervent maskers in the world. Meanwhile, the Dems would have been pushed into a corner between accusing him of xenophobia while both the left and the right are panicking over the virus and supporting his anti-covid efforts. But of course, the man is just too incompetent.

I mean there's nothing stopping the Dems from still saying the xenophobia caused by Covid is retarded like they're already doing.

TBH both sides denied Covid's severity At First big difference though is the Dems smartened up and started taking it seriously while Conservatives are still in denial and refuse to do even the bare minimum to help a year in.

TBH, I think the right-wing would've still refused to acknowledged the pandemic's severity even without Trump egging them on. After all, right-wingers are allergic to doing anything that requires to give up even a tiny bit of short-term convenience.

But if Democrats are all getting vaccinated, that means Republicans won't. And as more and more variants pop up, who do you think is going to be the majority of casualties?
