I assume he will treat Gamepass like he treats his streams of retro games on the Nintendo Switch, where it's just starting and stopping games constantly, no commitment, not finishing games, quitting whenever he runs up against the slightest bit of annoyance or challenge. "To be fair" to DSP again, I personally didn't think we would get to mid-July, and both the X-Box and PS5 still wouldn't be in stores yet. Especially with the real lack of exclusives for either console still outside a couple each.

Apparently it's impossible for him to have used the marathon money to buy the console because it's impossible to get a console delivered to your house overnight. Not like Amazon has overnight 2 day shipping or anything.

I think it's far more likely that he had the money all along. He tried begging for an Xbox and no one fell for it. The begathon was just a thing to do for more money, he's trying to get back to his YouTube days income. If a fan sent this and he was really in dire straits he'd pawn it. Just like if his parents sent Kat cash and he was in dire straits he'd use the money for bills not an exercise bike.

Everything he says is a lie, you can see how much he makes every month it's right there for everyone to see. Even if he's spending 3k a month on scopely or whatever, he's got plenty left to get an Xbox.

Well he clearly wasn’t interested in an Xbox until e3 and now flight simulator coming out soon, so that’s probably why.

He's hyped about the Gamepass thing that lets him rent stuff to play without having to pay for them. His viewer retention is terrible and his fans have short attention spans, so it's perfect for a guy like him.
But yeah, consumerism. Also don't ask why he can't just pawn off his PS4 or Xbox One if he's literally about to lose his house because fuck you.

Flight Sim and The Medium are the only two games I've heard him mention by name. Anything else gets shoved into the "variety night" stream bullshit he keeps saying.
He might actually enjoy The Medium since it's not actually a game, it's more like a movie where you walk around and solve some kindergarten grade puzzles.
Flight Sim he will get bored before the first stream ends.

Phil claims a long time fan contacted him behind the scenes. He had an extra Xbox that he never opened. So he just sent it to Phil through the mail.

"Hey Phil, I just happen to have an unopened brand new machine worth $500-$1000. Here, just take it!"

Seems legit.

Then he had the balls to say he didn't even really want an Xbox because he doesn't care about graphics or the new games. What he really needs is money, so make sure to tip.

That would mean he also spent between $1000-2000 just to have one laying around for no reason.

Unless you're an aviation fanatic, or someone who gets bored and likes fucking around, I don't see the appeal of Flight Sim. Sure, it seems to be a huge improvement over the last one Microsoft put out; but outside of silly shit like those pictures of everyone at the digital Epstein Island or simulating your own 9/11, there isn't much to hold people.
