Why not look into the reasons why people feed the need to commit these acts rather than take guns away? Because even if you take legal guns away, people will find other ways to commit these acts. bombs, acid, vehicles of peace, knives, swords. And they'll look the other way on gang violence since even commenting on it would be racist.

I'm not an expert on the Texan constitution, but I believe that by doing this , state officials are legally obligated to attend. The ones that fled to DC will be breaking the law and they can send law enforcement (probably Texas Rangers or something) to retrieve them and haul them into the chamber in cuffs.
