Just a timely reminder that ReseteraForum staff have never admitted that I was harassed by racist members of the PC-Era community there to the point where I left the site Publicly, staff & the community said I was lying for clout Privately, the community scrubbed Discords & hid

Two staff members even outright said I was lying, one being an outright racist/Islamophobe, and the other caping for racists until they made their homophobia so obvious that it couldn't be ignored anymore

They would rather double down until the end of time than ever admit even the mere possibility that they were being racist, because they fear consequences. The possible consequences? They are banned from an online video game forum. The consequences for me? I nearly had to move.

Things still stay the same. Because everybody fears that difficult conversation of admitting they were wrong, even online, unless they absolutely have to. Staff decided to choose to protect a community with racists in it, over a minority staff member. But hooray, they care.

For example, I literally caught a staff member in 4K dropping n-bombs and Islamophobic rhetoric as recently as last year, and the public response was to turn into a turtle and hide until people forgot.

Can confirm, PCera Discord is scrubbed itself clean a few times in the last 2 years, Stop It, Uzzy, Coldsun, and Morrigan also set up a "Papers Please" wall where people have to furnish their personal details in order to actually read the channel. This is more extreme than any other ERAcord who usually stop at obfuscating invites or making them referral-only (though that's usually an anti-mod countermeasure).
More of the time the channel is just Uzzy getting simped by Stop It and Perkele, and "Nokterian" (NL fag, usually post cringe on a site called "tweakers.net" and twitter) hornyposting about Taylor Swift in an attempt to become a european Russell Greer. People who actually know shit about PCs and PC gaming have left (or got banned, the ban ticker channel has been dead for a while now that i'm looking (seriously, just enable audit logs you idiots)) which renders the techsupport channel a wasteland.
Also mentioning Bronson is a guaranteed way to get Parsnip riled up, he returned a few months ago.
