Any suggestions, mein herr?

Also, The Farms better not go down before DenFur.

This is what we've trained for.
The Sleeper Awakes by H.G. Welles is pretty great. I think he wrote it when he was relatively young, sometime during college and then edited it later. For something that came out in the 1900s you see some interesting predictions and parallels. It has a weird premise and you have to suspend some disbelief but it's a fun ride.

I don't think you're going to get a lot of deep philosophical insights out of it aside from "People with power get pissed off when they might lose it", but it's a fun book.

Nazbols are like troons that try to prove that they are female. They are not, and everyone laughs at them. You can not ever hope to bridge Soviet traditions with National Socialism.
That's the sheer fun of the whole thing. It is so obviously absolute lunacy that what are you going to do, argue about it? Lmao.

Quick explainer of components of 'getting content on the web' as many early people seem to be mixing some of it up (this will relate mostly to KF operations from an outside view).

  1. Registrar - responsible for registering web addresses (foo.com -> 1.2.3.4), It's actually a BIT more complex as a registrar doesn't actually resolve these (UNLESS it's a dns server that is a glue record), it just points you to a dns server that knows more. For instance foo.bar.com resolution goes something like this, .com runs a registrar server, you include a ns.bar.com dns server which any query for bar.com is pointed to), you ask the bar.com authoritative name server for the address of foo.bar.com and it returns a record for foo.bar.com.
  2. ICANN (internet corporation for assigned names and numbers) - this is 'sort of' like a registrar but deals with actual IP assignments (and TLDs (top level domains) like .com, .us, etc). This is used typically to acquire network blocks (a range of IPs).
  3. IANA (internet assigned numbers authority) - this is the group responsible for assigning ASNs (autonomous system numbers) these are used for 'internet routing' typically BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) to allow routers to understand how to get traffic to the required 'endpoint' (ISPs/hosts).
  4. DNS (domain name service) runs (for instance bar.com) dns as 'authoritative' (meaning you should ask THIS server for initial queries to it's auth domains, there is usually a master/slave set of servers so if one is down you can ask another authoritative server, intermediate dns servers (called recursive) will do these queries for you, most are run by your ISP. Each record has a TTL (time to live) either per record or zone (domain) wide. Your ISPs server will 'cache' those results for 66% to 100% of the TTL (the ones that do less are 'predictive' so they'll ask again at something like 66% of the TTL so they can keep results cached all the time. CloudFlare has their own DNS servers for stuff they cache (or filter (see DDOS below)).
  5. Hosting company, runs actual servers for the content (mostly, see CDN below).
  6. CDN (content delivery network) caches stuff that doesn't change too often, it's almost always a distributed network that caches stuff in multiple locations, for that stuff they usually run their own DNS server, they do this so that queries for the content that is cached are 'sent' to the closest server (network wise) to the customer. Typically this kind of stuff that is cached is like code or images/etc things that don't change much. This is used to reduce load on actual hosting servers as you only need PART of the page from the actual servers and PART from the CDN. This is one of the functions CloudFlare performs.
  7. DDOS (distributed denial of service) service. This service either is looking at site traffic ALL the time, or network engineers flip traffic to them when under attack. DDOS service has a ton of attack packet signatures (typical attacks) and will filter this out of a sites network traffic. This is another part of what CloudFlare does. Typically CDNs and DDOS services can handle immense amounts of traffic.
ANY of these can be 'attacked' or can 'refuse service' they perform different functions depending on which one you're talking about. What is currently going on for KF is people complained to the registrar, which can lead to people being unable to look up kiwifarms.net, etc. So if morons know what they are doing, they can attack multiple vectors repeatedly until they get what they consider a 'win'.

Hopefully this 'how does the internet work' brief definitions will help some people understand what is going on with the farms/etc.

EDIT: fixed some dumb ass typos.

Note, nool is now intimately familiar with every single layer of this shit thanks to having to keep this site up. He is probably among a couple dozen people in the world who grasps this shit on every conceivable level.

Well more than a couple dozen, but yeah, even among system administrators only like 10-20% know all of this.

nobody brought up sex with trans women as far as I can tell. somebody called Fredwheels a faggot, and in his wall of text overthinking it, he mentioned Philosophy Tube. conclusion: he wants to get topped by the troon who may or may not have raped Contrapoints.

Lol guys, I didn’t break my arm typing “FUCK YOU” in all caps trying to get some guy deplatformed from Cloudflare. Also on an unrelated note, I may or may not like gurl dick.
