I read Material Girls and I honestly thought it was OK but rather inconsistent and difficult to read. It made some solid points about sex and gender even though I found the writing a bit tedious and very long winded. I respect Dr. Kathleen Stock and I like her, but I guess academic writing and works go over my head a bit.Shrier's book is real good. My main critique is that it focused too much on the parents perspective. I really wish she talked more with young girls and detranstitoners. If you like her book I recommend Material Girls. I'm reading it right now and it's great.

After Abigail Shrier's book, I'm going to read Debra Soh's book The End of Gender and I'm really looking forward to it. She seems like a cool person.
