Darkwing Duck is a comedic character, and even he's a better hero just by virtue of the fact that he's a loving, selfless father. Imagine woke vermin writing a character who's a good parent. Imagine them writing a man who's a good father!

The kind of people who put people out of their homes, fucked up the environment and didn't care what or who they destroyed as long as it made them richer. That's why Frieza buys and sells entire planets. He's an allegory for a rich, spoiled, hedonistic and sociopathic corporate asshole who only cares about himself and getting richer. The kind of people who become so deeply entrenched in American politics they now run both political parties. The kind of people Bob supports unflauntingly and think are just amazing and wonderful and are the true "thinkers" because they own the labs they make various technologies. Bob is a neoliberal shill who gets pissed when people make fun of "woke capital."

Frieza is who Movie Bob wants to be. A posh, sociopathic rich asshole with instant access to anything he wants on a whim. Robots, technology, lobster and whine, his own space ship and crew of loyalists, and the ability to harm and destroy anyone or anything he wants, to kill people in droves and laugh about it, and wipe out entire civilizations because he doesn't like them. Frieza is the person he fantasizes about becoming in the "superior future." Fuck, read his petulant rant from 2018 about the "superior future he EARNED" and tell me it doesn't read like some shit Frieza would say in a bad dub. And just like Frieza, he wants to become immortal not to serve the universe, pass on his ancient wisdom or gain the wisdom of new, untold aeons. He wants to become immortal so he can inflict himself on the universe, to torment existence for the years he spent in the undignified state of being himself. He wants to be Frieza.

But he's not like Frieza. He's more like the obese pink guy who kisses his ass and works as his personal errand boy and thug.

Also, most SJW fans of Sailor Moon never look past the fact that it has same-sex romances in it, on account of the fact that they're childish perverts. Steering the topic towards Bob, I have no reason to believe that he is capable of loving someone outside of his immediate family--at least to the extent that he is willing to put his "reputation" or safety on the line. When you look to his support of the inclusion of Ms. Marvel and Ironheart in the MCU, it's because those characters are part of the "diversity" push the brain-dead lefty twits are clamoring for. Well, his unquenchable thirst may be a factor. His comments to whoever's playing Kamala Khan are downright creepy. Combine that with Bob's consumerism and god complex, and it's no wonder that he gravitates towards characters who are narcissistic or borderline psychopathic.

I was mostly referring to Carl and his pseudo-intellectual smert guy act. Bob does the same thing except even a dunce like Carl can run circles around him.
Also in regard to living situation, Carl has his own house and actually has a wife (and kids that very well might be his). Even as a manchild fedora'd neckbeard this puts Carl leagues beyond basement Bob.

Further, Carl was let into a political party in the first place, which he then destroyed with stupidity. Bob and his genocidal dictator talk would never make it within 200 yards of a political party.

Playing devil's advocate here, but of all the things to get mad at about the younger Chipman, I don't really think this is one of them. New Hampshire borders Massachusetts, and both are tiny states. Even if Chris were to drive all the way to the northern tip of the state, that's still only a four-hour drive, easily doable in a day trip. More likely, it's not even that far away. Drive a couple hours to potentially get a $10k payday? Shit, why not? Take the whole family along, make an adventure out of it, and if it turns out you were wrong, hey, at least you had a fun trip and you can give it another go.

Even if he were going without the wife and kids, he'd be gone for a day tops. And it's Sunday, not like he has work or anything else going on (including mass since I'm assuming he's a "lapsed Catholic" like Blobbo). At least this excursion has the potential to actually be profitable, as opposed to the usual consoomption fests that piss all his money away. And it'd certainly be a lot more than he makes through his e-begging.

I'm not sure how the original space jam handled references compared to space junk 2 but I do know this: the reason people are hating on 2 is because the references literally serve no purpose. From the few clips that are coming out online the references themselves boil down to just playing a particular scene from a of whatever Ip WB owns rn completely straight just with a Looney Toons character stapled into said scene. Or just dumping a reference with no build up or real relevance to the story like the IQ expanding Richard and Mortimer just dropping Taz off, saying wubbba lubba dub dub and that's it. Even if it was the unholy crossbreed of MEMBER THE 80'S and consoomer bullshit, Ready player one at least made the references serve a bigger purpose for it's story, even if it's paper thin at best.

From my memory, Space Jam 1 had only one reference and it was a scene of Porky and Sam dressed as the characters from Pulp Fiction (with the music playing during it) and shooting out one of the alien's teeth out. The rest, it was some usual Looney Tunes slapstick humor and that's about it.

Chris was referenced a few times and seemed like the saner, more mature version of Blob. He had a real job, a house he owned, and a family. But then he started a patreon and got more into social media to promote it. Quickly it became clear that both brothers suffer some mental issues.

I actually just think SJW writers misread characters like Iron Man and Spiderman when crafting heroes. Those characters have their personal, unprincipled wants and needs which are often pitted against needing to do the right thing. This is why Gwen Stacey dying, a pretty bland character, is meaningful. It's almost the epitome of this conflict for Spiderman. It isn't like his Uncle, an old man who died because Peter didn't do the right thing, it's a young woman he loved dying because he did the right thing too often.

I actually agree with SJWs that the motivation of "I wanna be a knight and fight bloody battles to help people" isn't a compelling motivation. There has to be something *selfish* or personal going along with it but it's a balance. SJWs are like chefs who, when preparing a dish that's primarily meant as a platform for certain spices and ingredients to stand out, start adding too much salt or sugar. The harmony is totally lost.

I also think tumblr and fandom culture obsessing with the chaotic good eccentric side-character (who is just like a total mood ya know) did a lot of damage too. Every character has to be Jack Sparrow instead of William Turner. I see these video compilations titled "X being iconic for 5 minutes" and "what a mood." Which to me says there's a narcissistic component to enjoying these as spectacle. Not even as characters. Which explains why they might just see Ruri as a sassy, empowered and culturally reclamative black womyn while everyone else finds her awful.

We initially thought, based on Bob's descriptions of Chris, that Chris was a successful, competent version of Bob. When Bob got into an internet slapfight over his shitty autobiography, Chris came to defend him. Something about that encounter- I don't know what- caused him to increase online presence, where he revealed more information about himself and began making an ass of himself online for our pleasure.
