Honestly the board would be fine if we got rid of the Australians.
 
This is the Kiwi Farms, a place dedicated to the ideals of standing next to a retarded manbaby so we all look less pathetic. Kiwi Farms is the chunky girl who takes hambeasts as her wingmen when she wants to pick up some D. Kiwi Farms is the dullard who volunteers to work with drooling mongaloids so they can feel like the smartest person in the room. Kiwi Farms is the weakling who picks fights with cripples.

So if I remember correctly thats the irrefutable proof for kiwi farms eyes only that God exists that I masterfully came up with using a combination of science, philosophy and Marjan references. It's actually a very engaging and thought-provoking read and something I'd consider on par with Einstein's theories on relativity.

I'm not afraid of getting made fun of. I'm more worried about a person shitposting and derailing a thread pointlessly.

I mean if you want to shitpost in Deep thoughts because you have some vendetta against serious discussion on here, so be it. I just advocate for higher moderation in that instance. I'd think you of all people would like a challenge.

I'll further note that Deep Thoughts functioned as a useful containment zone for overly earnest and marginally relevant discussions of atheism, transhumanism, proper pronouns and so on. Suggesting that people inclined to hijack threads with these topics "take it to Deep Thoughts" was a handy way to put things back on track. When the subforum is clogged with shitposts and honeypots, its utility for improving overall forum experience is diminished.

Not really because if someone is dumb enough to come to a site like this for earnest discussions about those topics in the first place then they're probably dumb enough to take shitposts and honeypots seriously and not realize that Deep Thoughts is just one big trash pile of trolling and autism.

Your shitposts are sometimes funny, just try to use a modicum of self control by keeping them in Inner Circle where people actually want to read them, or at least out of Deep Thoughts and the Coping thread where people certainly don't. The forum provides different variations of value for different people. Assuming that almost everyone comes here for the same reasons you do, and only those reasons, demonstrates a lack of theory of mind, and dismissing the concerns of the NPCs that don't coincide with your goal is inconsiderate and obnoxious.

Yeah, no, you're completely wrong. The forum is massive and it's possible to have multiple boards with individual cultures that don't all smear together in one giant shitty brown streak. Just because you can't imagine a scenario where you'd want to talk about the penitentiary system in the US outside of the context of wanting Nick Bate to be raped to death, doesn't mean that it's impossible or impractical. The board ran fine for 2 years before people start treating it like a joke.

I am strongly in agreement with keeping deep thoughts and perhaps having it moderated more aggressively. We have a shitposting area.

It may not be fun to shitpost there because it is encouraged there, people see that forum as a joke, and lots of people avoid it, but it exists and perhaps could use some development.

I really think we should ask ourselves if posting something baity and controversial in Deep Thoughts as a bait has become a cliche. I think it has. I remember one particular thread there that never should have existed and it has led to other threads just like it. Deep thoughts needs to stop being a joke here. Many of the people on this forum are smart and to engage in deeper conversation with them can be quite enjoyable.

Someone already made that thread and it was a part of the slide that deep thoughts has had. That thread never should have existed and it is part of the problem.
