Whether I like it or not, Contra is influential on many modern debates especially when it comes to feminism and leftism, so why not pay attention to what he's doing? I follow the work of many people I both agree and disagree with if they're influential. Personally, it's slightly concerning that Contra's particular brand of self-justifying, materialistic, champagne socialism is winning out since IMO it's a huge grift, but he recently had a discussion with Chomsky on the fate of leftism for instance so we're stuck with him. Plus, there are very few places where you can just say he's setting back feminism without some weird man sending you rape threats.

Also his taste is really tacky, and his idea of being a woman is a porn addict's. Makes it even more annoying to be alive since proud "lesbians" like him set the definitions in ways that make having sexual boundaries harder and harder. Getting told about Contra's "mouthfeel" theory IRL was a wild ass experience, and genuinely felt the same as having a man say "you'll like my dick." (I mean, because it was.)

I saw a lecture he gave in Australia about negative emotions and one of his books, and the way this man carries himself reminds me of Contra. I also saw another video of a guy, who I asume is one of Contra's brothers, who also reminds me of Contra. The way they all speak is almost identical. (to me).

The Dad seems right out of central casting if you ask me. Cucked, ineffectual, probably literally unable to raise his voice. Sorry to shit talk him. But it fits that Contra would have a male authority figure who was unable or unwilling to reign him in, and on the contrary was prob super indulgent. Contra makes it sound in his early videos like his parents immersed him in copious amounts of psychotherapy and pharmaceuticals. I’ll bet they didn’t hesitate to pursue whatever treatments were trendy and en vogue at the time. They were probably doing competitive psychotherapy and keeping up with Jones. “Yes, our Nyk is taking Adderall now, and he’s increased to twice weekly therapy. We’re so proud of him.”

Again not to bash the dad but the video I watched he just looks so effete. Okay I’m extrapolating a lot, lol. I just feel like these upper middle class types and their sycophantic careerist tendencies really muck things up. They are the royal court in the Emperor Has No Clothes. You just know Mr and Mrs Parrott have a BLM sign on their 4500sqft property which is in a 90% white town.

Sure. This is social conditioning. Men reinforce our expected behavior and conformity by holding each other accountable.

Nyk is a weak-willed alcoholic porn addict who broadcasts his issues for the world to see, and he has given up on masculinity. He is a failure of a man in every way, including his lack of children. Therefore, the rest of us can bond by shaming and mocking him in a way that reinforces our shared expectation of masculinity that we all conform to.

For instance, I would not feel comfortable taking a check without doing any work. I don't even like it when a restaurant offers me a refund for poor service or bad food. I want to earn what I have, and I work hard to get it.

where’d you see that her brother is a lawyer?

There was like something like an article or an interview of Georgetown where one of her brothers was talking about growing up in the campus. Contra's dad's name was mentioned, her name was mentioned (as Nick) and her brothers names were mentioned. I looked up the brothers to see if they were on social media but nothing came up. What I did see was a picture of pre-trans contra at a graduation with her dad and one of her brothers (the lawyer, based on the article I assume they graduated on the same year). On a the related pictures I saw the same guy. The guy is on the "The Parrotts 2012" picture. Far right.
