RWBY - The Hindenburg on which Rooster Teeth rests its hopes, dreams and future

But how is it cool? How is not losing your shit like Ironwood' Semblance supposed to be cool? That's not fun or a superpower, to quote the Duwang translation that's super retarded.
I've seen some posts talking about how Ironwood essentially descended into villainy because his PTSD was triggered by Cinder and Salem.

That would imply these writers had any concept of characters actually changing in a natural way. They wanted Ironwood to be a villain and that was it, simple as that. Just like they wanted Ruby to be a leader or angry girl and boring cat to start scissoring. There is no natural progression or development to any of this, they wanted it to happen and so it happened everything else be damned.

...is the super saiyan bit true? Because if so, jesus christ that's almost as pathetic as "parody" movies where the joke is just references to things existing.

Did you know things exist? APPLAUD AND CONSOOM.
'I Burn', one of Yang's backup songs:

Reign supreme?
In your dreams
You'll never make me bow
Kick my ass?
I'm world-class
And Super Saiyan now

Honestly the biggest problem with Volume 8 Ironwood is how he’s so utterly incompetent and consistently makes incomprehensibly stupid decisons that literally any other show would have played his moments as comical.
Seriously, he’s such an inept villain that the concept of hostages is beyond him, and then holds a city for ransom 2 minutes later. Comedy gold shit right there.

“What sort of German dish is a ‘hostage?’ Forget it, I’ll find out after I’ve threatened to bomb a city.”

DBZ is so ingrained in pop culture that anyone can make a lazy reference to it. Monty being a weeaboo might genuinely liked it but likely just threw it in there, iirc the song writer didn't even watch RWBY to make his lyrics (at least in the early Volumes). I'm not convinced this is even a serious post, it's just some shipper seeing some dots and making a reach like a TVTroper.

Yay. I literally can't wait to never mention that shit to anyone I play with ever.
Just see it as one of the saddest ways to show how an IP has a bigger franchise. (Seriously, when was the last time you heard an IP had a D and D campaign/show be declared to be canon to the IP in question? Is RWBY really that desperate to show its supplemental material?)
