What do real rich people buy? Is there like a brand barrier these people are trying to cross to be perceived as having "made it"?
Displays of wealth through conspicuous consumption don't seem to be as much of a thing with people who come from real or intergenerational wealth. Jeff Bezos going into space is a display of wealth, no handbag in the world can really compete with that. Charity too, having a pet project that air drops food to children in war zones with your name on the side of the box is a rich person flex, not the latest pair of shoes.

No obvious branding. Someone who's interested in designer fashion could ID those bags based on the cut and hardware, but there are no loud logos or monograms screaming what it is, and there's definitely no stacking logos or prints so everyone walking past knows all your clothes are designer. There's the saying, money talks but wealth whispers.

If anything, rich people would tend to go for more classic and understated brands like Chanel or Hermès, and those brands do keep their prices high to keep them exclusive. Chanel jacks up their prices by a good 10-20% most years, though I have heard that their quality has started to decline. Hermès iconic bags like the Birkin start at around $10k and go way higher for exotic leathers, and you can't even just walk into a shop with the cash and buy one. You have to establish a relationship with the sales associates, give a list of preferences and then take what you're offered, if you're ever offered one. They also might get custom work or one off pieces, which big fashion houses will do for people who can pay for it.

As much as they try to keep things exclusive, you still the occasional Jeffree Star who's tackiness incarnate and has the money to show it.

Looks like TrueOffMyChest started getting a little too based and honest. Can't have that on reddit, can we? I feel like I saw more than these two, but these are the only two screenshots I was able to snagView attachment 2372876View attachment 2372877
Fat asses getting upset that their life style will kill them. Fine they are just asking for a painful death because of overweight issues.

Those women can afford massively overpriced handbags, but no amount of money can undo the brutal whacking the ugly stick gave them.

Update: The underage comment on r/transformation still hasnt been removed. In return I received this:

This is what you get for fighting pedophilia on reddit.
Second update: I came back to the subreddit and entered it into subredditstats. The results are, well, see for yourself...

So that one comment by a minor was just the tip of the iceberg. Who would've thought a subreddit based mostly around autogynephilia would have this overlap?

A while ago, r/drama (an over 18 subreddit) banned every one of their members who were also subscribed to r/teenagers, just giving them the ban reason as 'you're underage'. Like clockwork, there was a huge response in pms to the mods from many of the banned, turns out these 'teenagers' were mostly men in their thirties and forties.

r/teenagers is basically an age-play/fantasy/pedo subreddit at this point. I don't think any actual children are being groomed. If the sub is full of peds, then there's a high chance that they're all into autogynephilia too.

Do teens even use reddit anymore? It seems like it's nothing but empty egg carton women and trannies.

This person is definitely going end up a depressed spinister in 15 years. It'd be one thing if she was really happy for a project she just finished like art or gardening, etc. but being this happy from just buying shit? That's not a really fulfilling life to me. Even the people who love makeup usually can spice it up by being a makeup artist and turn it into a real passion. This just feels souless.
The fact that they felt the need to post this is already a huge indication that it's all just cope. Actual happy people don't need to tell others they're happy. They just are.

Stuff like this is why I don't get the smugness of childfree people.

It's one thing to not want and have kids, but to act like they're lives are TOTES better than those who have kids while they lay around and play video games and CONSOOM mindlessly all day...it just feels so dumb to me. They have no self awareness or foresight for their decisions.

Lmao why is r/drama an 18+ subreddit? Out of fear of being banned by Tardfinn they're absurdly tame now.

One of my old troon psuedo-friends was active on /r/teenagers around his early adulthood.

Fully functioning adults know that spending any time around teenagers, especially ones who aren't even related to you, is an extremely painful experience (for you). Partially because they are cocksure shits who think they know the answer to everything, but also because they remind you that you were once a cocksure shit who thought you knew the answer to everything.

The only viable, non-nonce excuses for an adult over the age of 21 choosing to spend time with teenagers are:
a. You are related to them, or
b. You are a high school teacher at work.

How can one live in the year 2021 and believe that talk show hosts on Fox News are terrible people? I thought CNN and MSNBC were the most mocked ones, right next to The New York Times.
