RIP Thread

This hurts, I love ZZ Top. Saw them live at the Cow Palace years ago.
They were fucking awesome live. Best concert I ever saw was a double billed show with them and Los Lobos during their Mean Rhythm tour - 1997, I think. Such a great night of music.

When they played Legs out came the fuzzy, spinning guitar and bass, and the music video was projected behind them. They were perfectly in sync with it, but the song was a decade old by then.... One of only a few bands I've seen that sounded the same live as they did on records.

RIP bearded dude, making it cool when beards weren't cool.

Caitlin Johnstone wrote about the old warmonger today and i added a reminder about how he was instrumental in overturning 2 FDA bans on Aspartame manufactured by G.D. Searle

Nobody seems to have recalled the man's connections to GD Searle, the company that brought Aspartame into the world and his role in it's having found it's way into thousands of food products. Foreign wars pale in contrast to the harm that men like Rumsfeld and companies like Searle, now a Monsanto subsidiary , are doing to the health of the American people and our agricultural lands.

Whaccha got against aspartame?

No--never mind--forget I said that.

A shame but that's like 150 in bassist years.

My inability to delete my double-taps is causing me to doubt my own abilities--maybe I don't have what it takes anymore--or maybe the delete button REALLY has disappeared?
The ongoing troon DDoS is causing some weird shit to happen. Had a post two or three days ago that wouldn’t let me link or spoiler. I wouldn’t worry too much.

Relevance tax: farewell to politicians David Lust and Dick Long.

Trevor Moore has apparently passed away.

If true, incredibly sad. WKUK was a gem of a show.
