I mean, it's nothing new to her. She's always been a bit of a straggler, mainly to do with circumstance. But if we were to compare her to the Aki a year ago, I don't think anyone can deny that she's in a far better place.

Also, I still think Shallys is one of the most underrated songs of Hololive. I think had it came out a few months later it would have exploded and made Aki fairly popular, but sadly it came out a few months before her rise in popularity in the West. I also think the spelling might be a bit of a detriment, due to most people thinking of a Chalise, which brings up no results even if you look it up with Aki Rosenthal.

No wonder Niji is trying to chase after that with NijiEN. Sadly though, they don't have someone like Coco or Moona that serves as a bridge between branches, so one branch's success won't trickle down to the other (oh yeah, trickle down strategy, I guess that's Holo's strategy for synergy)

I apologize and thank you in advance to those who will reply/criticize me on this, but it just me or do I expect that whoever is a newfag here must at least know some roommate's info no matter the branch? KF is literally the first google result when you're looking for roommate/vtuber's faces and info. I'm relatively new but what attracted me to KF are the doxxes, but I stayed with y'all replies and contents. I just find it a little annoying that we're kinda spoonfeeding on what has been hundred of threads ago wherein you can just search it up on the search tab or google.

I agree with you. There are so many easy ways to find the information, and asking to be spoonfed on a site that has a built-in search feature is dumb.

I'm going to powerlevel a little bit and try to give some motivation to our newfags.

I'm probably one of the biggest newfags here, at least in comparison to the other regulars. I only started watching VTubers in early-December of 2020 after I read one of those "le forbidden knowledge" comments on a Senzawa video, and then I got hooked on Gura from that connection. Before that, I had no interest in VTubers at all, and I hadn't even heard of Hololive, let alone watched any of the girls' streams. I was what most people here in the thread would call a normie, and I still kind of am - I'm not even a weeb at all (I don't watch anime, read manga, etc.)

As I got into VTubers more and more within the following month, I basically speedran learning everything. I subscribed to each of the Holo girls and tried to watch as much of them as humanely possible, and I also quickly branched out to the other corpos and indies as well. In the process, I quickly developed a dislike for large portions of the VTuber community, with the prevalence of hugboxes and the 'forbidden knowledge' mindset being especially annoying to me.

My search for roommate knowledge and a better community briefly led me to /jp/ and the lolcow.farm threads, which then brought me to this thread in early January.
(For the record, let me just say that I was very surprised when I found it, since I had never really associated KiwiFarms users with weeb shit in my head until then, lol)

It was at this point that I really started doing my reps, with me beginning to keep up with 4chan and this thread. I also went back and read most of the at-the-time ~400 previous pages and learned about all of the roommates, lingo, etc. The search function was very useful for this.

From that point on, I stayed caught up and in-the-loop regarding everything going on in the community. I made an account to post here in mid-late January, and here I am now.

The moral of the story is this: If I, a retarded normie who didn't even know about Hololive, was able to learn literally everything about VTubers & the community in about 1 month, then you newfags can learn about some roommates without needing to be spoonfed by us.

The built-in search tools on this site are pretty easy to use. If the Farms are having issues and the search is down, then just use Google
(Narrow it down to thread results by using "site:https://kiwifarms.net/threads/virtual-youtubers.69525" in your search).

Again, if I was able to do it from a point of knowing literally nothing, then so can you. I have faith in you.

She's still doing extremely well by industry standards, she just has the toughest yardstick to measure up against. There are only 3 female Nijis who have more subs than her. She also has a very positive and supportive fanbase from what I've seen.
