The closest I have come to verifying this is that there was a data leak from years ago for a site called PS3Hax.net with this line in it:

The birthdate appears to be one week later than Ginder's (some people just put in a slightly off date on purpose when registering online), the email address is byuu's, the IP address shows up as "Optimum Online (Cablevision Systems)", and the password hash is easily looked up online to be "tony57" which was verified to at least match with his patreon account. Several other gaming and console hacking related sites in the same leak also show the same email address and password being used there.

From what I can tell with some light Google searching, I don't think Optimum services Columbus, Ohio. It is quoted as servicing the tri-state area, so New York. The big players in Columbus seem to be Spectrum, AT&T, Time Warner, Frontier, and WOW!. If these ISPs are anything like how where I live, they probably don't all serve the same area, either. We should be able to tell which of these 5 ISPs service Dublin, Ohio easily. Unless there's something fucky going on with the ISPs in Columbus, I strongly doubt that their IP would show them being serviced by Optimum.

It is also very odd that SIGSEV would pop by on a sock and dump a random dox.

I agree that it's odd, but since there seems to be doubt again from a few others let me reiterate that yes, it happened. The tell is the pretend Cody Wilson obsession because it's apparently a sore point for Dear Leader. Where @SIGSEGV got the dox info from is an interesting question, though.

@Wolpertinger brought up@Queefer Madness and @Detective We again recently, so my post was more in reply to that I suppose. Both @Queefer Madness and @Detective We were the ones posting the David Kirk Ginder dox, and as it turns out both accounts were @SIGSEGV socks.

What this means is a good question. I actually have no idea. I still suspect that Sig was just passing on the dox from someone/somewhere else and that it's probably legit. Maybe not, though?

And even if we could get information/ IP from the data leak, we arent sure if that is the most recent. I'm not 100% Byuu was in Japan. He could still be in Ohio. I would think if one moved to Japan for work he would get an overseas phone. But instead he used his American phone and used the telegram app. Doesn't anyone else think that is odd? Back to my point, it is not confirmed where Byuu was/ is.

I wasn't trying to take credit for the information but I was bringing it up again because it was buried in the Byuu thread and people including myself were questioning Byuu's name. I am really trying to make sure the facts stay straight and dont get too muddled. It's bad enough you have people like Wayne Beckett shitting up this thread and making it difficult to prove if Byuu commit suicide.

None of this matters.

Unless your phone was exclusive to Verizon or Sprint, there's zero reason why you would need to get an overseas phone. Even then, a lot of Verizon and Sprint "exclusive" phones had the ability to read GSM anyway because it's cheaper to have dual compatibility for GSM and CDMA. It also hasn't really been relevant since the 2G and 3G days since 4G LTE allowed for multiple connections.

I strongly doubt overseas carriers brazenly strongarm you into using their devices like the big (now) 3 here with bullshit excuses like "we can't give you visual voicemail because your phone isn't an AT&T phone." I would also trust the companies stateside way more than Huawei with my device.
