Yet another reason why trolls are NOT responsible for this whole mess of an endgame is since there actually did appear a couple years ago someone who asked Chris out for a date / relationship.

Had Chris just accepted the courtship from Cherry Stone and started a relationship, he would have been at least a million times better as a person than the inmate that he is right now.

The bar for coercion is very high. Saying "someone on the internet told me to do it" won't cut it - he needs the proverbial/literal "gun to the head" to get that one past.

Realistically, he will take a plea deal that may or may not include jail time depending on whether rape/elder abuse counts are added.

Elagabalus also is the victim of a smear campaign, because he was raised in a culturally different background than previous emperors. Doing things like wearing makeup was pretty common among both sexes in the upper crust of the east around Mesopotamia. He wasn’t a good emperor by any stretch but his antics have to be taken with a big grain of salt.

The Severan dynasty was a real disaster for the empire all around and Elagabalus wasn’t the worst behaved of them or the one who really fucked things up. That’s Caracalla for the worst behaved, and his successor for fucking up hard. It also firmly established the praetorian guard or the army as the most likely thing to kill an emperor which lead to further instability.

People think law is nothing but exploiting grammatical technicalities and don't take into account the spirit of the law as it was written.

Its like that one serial killer in Bongland who thought "body of the crime" meant a physical body, and if he dissolved the corpses in acid there was no body therefore nothing to convict on.

Every single thing that Chris was forced to do he recalled with regret and without remorse, since he did not from his own volition. Medallion is the ass? Hated Bluespike and talked about it next day. Destroyed medallion? Wrote that his ring was the source of his power. Cakefarts? He was sad that he had to throw away the cake. But not here. Here he tried to cover it with "50-y.o. girlfriend" while still bragging about it and then asked people not to share his admission of having sex with his own mother. He is not even that insane that people like to think, since this is clearly an attempt at cover-up, just really fucking dumb one.

A defendant could have a bad track record of lucid thinking and still be convicted if whatever mental defect they have didn't influence their perception of reality w/r/t the crime. Chris' text messages and phone call indicate that he's aware that this would get him in trouble if people found out, which is a strong indicator that he knew it was wrong.

From my perspective the trolling would be for some sort of gain or benefit. Meeting Chris, extorting him for money, or even just trying to get e-fame for harassing him would make some degree of sense to me. I just can't comprehend what they would gain by talking him into fucking his mom and then leaking that on the internet. If anything they'd lose access to something that amused them since Chris would likely go to jail for it.
