Powerlevel: A relative of mine was recently released from prison after 20+ years for murder. While talking to them for the first time in that duration, he told me sex offenders are KOS, Kill On Sight to gang members looking to prove their worth to whatever affiliation they have.

Chris better hope he's in protective custody while he's incarcerated, otherwise he's gonna get shanked.
Yeah, most prisons are like this. But even if Chris was in prison under different circumstances, he'll eventually get stabbed for being annoying.

How do you think Chris will react now that he is in jail and realizes he will not be able to see anime ever again or watch My Little pony ever again?

How will he react when he realizes he will never be able to go to another convention as long as he lives even if he gets out?

Sadly, the world will never know...

I’m sure his trial is going to long, so he’s gonna be in there for some time. I’m thinking months
No matter how funny it would be to have Chris take the stand and tell the court about how he was doing it to create Crystal Rosechu and reveal Barb's hidden memories of her past life as a Rosechu, it most likely isn't going to happen. Chris's public defender is going to push him towards a plea deal for whatever is offered (probably something similar to a year in prison with time served and x years probation, mandatory checkins with a psychiatrist and social worker, no contact/living with Barb).

They're not going to spend hours interrogating him trying to get a confession, this isn't a homicide. The detective probably has enough physical evidence, bank records, and statements from Barb that whatever nonsense Chris spouts off won't even be that important to his report.
If you think they're just going to wave this off so they can spend time investigating all the zero homicides they have in Greene County in most years I think you're underestimating them.

There may be no conclusive physical evidence (if Chris indeed used a condom). Bank records prove nothing in and of themselves. Statements from Barb could be crucial... if she made any. And even if she did, they would want to get a confession anyway. Why the hell wouldn't you? You never know what's going to happen at trial. Maybe some of the other evidence gets suppressed. Maybe Barb recants. Maybe one person on the jury just wanted to be extra sure. Who knows? That's why you spend the time to try and get a confession. If nothing else it makes it easier to get a guilty plea.

This isn't some vandalism incident where a cop saw someone throw a brick through a window, it's at least a serious incest charge and possibly a series of felonious sexual assaults and elder abuse with a bunch of moving parts and complications.

Imagining Chris having a series of meltdowns after being ordered around and not being allowed to do what he wants and then being sent to solitary confinement.
He probably already has, remember when he got locked up before and flipped out, he said he was kicking the cell door or something, and wearing his shirt on his head like a genie while yelling gibberish from tv shows.
