TL;DR:
- "I’ve updated the Calendar screen and Student Manager script so that the game is no longer locked to only 1 week, and can advance forward for 10 weeks, spawning a new rival each week. As a result, it is now possible to eliminate 10 rivals over the course of 10 weeks!" Yep, he copypastes Osana.
- "In the Osana demo, Sunday was not a “playable” day; it was reserved for a cutscene. As of now, Sunday has become a “playable” day. The player can use this day to go to town (but not school) to earn money and buy things in preparation for eliminating their rival over the subsequent week." Eh, you could do this after school and maid job is so unbalanced, that you could afford anything.
- "I’ve created a new “rival event manager” so that all rival events can be governed by one script, instead of each event requiring a unique script. " Why? Just throw this shit into Student script.
- "I’ve created a simplified system for sabotaging rival events. It is much less elaborate than the pre-existing system" So... What's the point of them now if they can be stopped pretty much like any other student?
- "As a result of the new event manager and the new system for sabotaging rival events, the events that the 10 rivals are going to use are now in the game. " Yep, copypaste, like anyone had any doubt!
- "I’ve created a new system for interacting with a rival’s bookbag. The player can now search through a rival’s bookbag to learn what kind of boys they like, learn their likes and dislikes, learn what has been happening in their life lately, and poison their bento anytime before lunchtime." Eh, I could get if it was done by searching through their phone or locker, but bookbag? GTFO
- "I’ve adjusted the system for reporting a rival to the guidance counselor. Instead of “You can only report panty shots on Monday, you can only report theft on Tuesday…” the player can now frame their rival for breaking
any of the school’s rules on
any day of the week." Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it how it was in the beginning and then Alex hardcoded it to prevent exploits?
- "Because the 10 Rivals Update won’t feature any new animations or voice acting," Wait, what?
Two weeks prior
"Added 46 new voiced lines to the game. (Wait, what? Wasn’t this update supposed to involve 0 new voice lines? Yes, that was the original plan! But, in the end, I decided it would actually benefit from having some voice acting in a few places…)" So he added those SOMEWHERE, but not to rivals? Bloody hell.
- "I’ve begun work on some of the “each week gets harder than the previous week” features. For example, each rival will be more paranoid than the previous rival, so as the weeks pass, you will need a higher and higher reputation in order to convince a rival girl to listen to your requests." Well. considering how well the rest of the "difficulty curve" works in the game... And does it really matter if eliminations are "simplified"?
- "I’m about halfway done implementing a new matchmaking system. " He's been fixing the old one for years and now he just threw it away? I don't believe it.
- "There are a lot of other things I could have added to the above list, but most of them wouldn’t be very exciting or glamorous." So what's gonna change?
- Now you can kill Osana by electrocution if you steal her bento, since she is hungry and will accept the salty food. Eh, why any other student doesn't give a fuck and accepts your food anyway? "This is the type of improvement I’m making to the game as I implement the 10 rivals; I’m looking at aspects of the game’s design that suck, and fixing/replacing those aspects accordingly." No, that's just covering shit with a blanket.

Now rivals are going to be unique despite all this bullshit before! No voicelines, they're just like other students, but the circumstances are unique!
TL;DR of TL;DR - he is still doing some incredibly vague shit which not even rivals, but "shit that needs to be done to implement rivals", even though he claimed already that he has a simplified system. Still no real indication of progress, still more indication of copy-paste.
This post is still isn't on Patreon and the numbers seem to go down - $1,776.31 of $3,500. It's the first day of the month, so let's wait and see.
