Yeah, I'm with Norman. I like our little crew of Lou-watchers. It's nice and cozy, and yinz guise are all funny as hell. I personally love watching people in the wild discover Lou on Twitter most of all. Watching Carnivorous Koi and Corust call out his bullshit was particularly satisfying.

A lot of potential thread material in Furry Drama General that ends up coming out as "this person NEEDS a thread!!!" Is quite boring whenever you realize that alleged material is just the big topic of FDG for the time and will blow over. remember the whole Pibbleking drama that blew over in about a week?

He's awfully enjoyably harmless compared to a lot of the legitimately wretched people out there with threads, so it is a pleasant read and the sense of... community in here, for lack of a better word, is def what makes this my favorite thread too even though Lou is always the same bullshit ad infinitum. How weird for such a pettily awful person to bring people together, but here we are.
I agree that it's more fun to get newcomers here in an organic way. My fave is when he legitimately brings in outsiders who discover via his thread that the site is not quite what they expected. I know we've got quite a few regulars here who showed up purely because Lou was such a fuckwad to them, and I'm so happy that they ended up with us.

As for the theory of this thread, I agree that it's pleasant and almost...close. Ironically, mocking such a lonely, disgusting individual makes for some quality online interaction. I mostly lurk, but when I do post my favorite place to do it is here. Most of the bigger threads (Greer, Tranny Sideshows, Yaniv), are like going to Disneyworld. There's a lot to do, tons to see, and a great amount of fun to be had, but in the end, you're in an infinite crowd. Recognizing someone is a rare event (with the exception of regulars, as all threads have).
Not to get sentimental, but this thread has the comfy feeling of a local park or square. We gather in our small knot of evil to laugh and point at the bumbling, angry twat and then go about our days. It's more enjoyable to be in a thread where the conversation's not derailed every three pages; where if you leave off for a week you're reduced to scrolling highlights as to not have to read 50 pages of screenshots and people making similar remarks about the screenshots. This thread is different, and while I've also wondered why it doesn't ever get a mention, I really don't mind. It's nice to recognize most of the people who post here, seeing the scenery hardly shift but enjoying the journey regardless because we're in good company with each other.

Unironically, and this isn't just me ragging on Lou like usual, shading. It's amazing what a good unified shading does to help pull a palette together or help really establish the mood and tone and drama of a picture, it's part of why I'm always giving Lou shit for it. You can make even really shitty flats and questionable lineart shine with effective shading, part of why it's always kinda fun rendering out shitty Gneech stuff.
