That actually sounds heavenly, that or making like a chicken and gravy casserole (or as I call it a good but still low effort attempt to not live off of ramen and canned soups alone).Just today I used instant mashed potatoes to make a faux potato soup because I wanted something to go with the last bit of cornbread in the pan but was too lazy to cut up potatoes and onions.
I microwaved a bowl of water with onion powder and black pepper, then mixed in some potato flakes and salt, but not enough to properly thicken into mashed potato consistancy. It worked well with the cornbread. Don't ask for measurements because I just eyeballed it.
