Just today I used instant mashed potatoes to make a faux potato soup because I wanted something to go with the last bit of cornbread in the pan but was too lazy to cut up potatoes and onions.

I microwaved a bowl of water with onion powder and black pepper, then mixed in some potato flakes and salt, but not enough to properly thicken into mashed potato consistancy. It worked well with the cornbread. Don't ask for measurements because I just eyeballed it.

Here's another good one:

That actually sounds heavenly, that or making like a chicken and gravy casserole (or as I call it a good but still low effort attempt to not live off of ramen and canned soups alone).

Here's another good one:

a secret gnocchi jutsu
oh fuck now I gotta start biking seven miles a day again

but yeah I've had a lot of success so far using it to thicken random instapot shits

You can make a pot of mash, and then put it in a food dehydrator or freeze dryer if you want to ressurect it for later.

Works good if you use instead of flour for battering chicken or fish for frying.

Works as binder for meatloaf, and if you candy up your bacon then roll each fried strip in potatflakes and ground reggiano, they say following bowel movements will strip all arterial plaque from your body. Such a change is always accompanied by a lethal drop in blood pressure.

When I go on long hikes or overnights I'll take a ziplock bag put instant mashed potatoes in it then a brick of dried ramen then some seasoning.

When you want to eat it just fill the bag with boiling water and wait.

Potato's have more potassium than bananas and you need that when you are on long exhausting hikes or you'll cramp up and die. The whole thing is a carbohydrate explosion that fills you up with out being cumbersome to hike with.

If you want an added treat you can bring spam, they sell it in presliced sealed bags that you can just drop in when you boil it.

Shepard's pie or make it in a coffee maker.

I don't know how well it works with instant mash, but maybe if you make it thick enough and cool it, you can roll a bit of smoked fish or pork into it, or whatever you want, make a bun/sphere/shape and fry it to make it crispy. It's a good Sunday lunch.

Put some chili on top of it and shredded cheese, chase with simvastatin
