Chris court appearance

That psychological evaluation is going to be the stuff of legends.

Imagine being the wife of the doctor who comes home after interviewing Chris Chan and asking them how their day was, and then hearing them tell you about C-197 and Sonichu.
The wife will not believe anything he says. I can just see it now. She thinks its just him having one too many drinks that night, and the liquor getting to him.

For those of you clamoring for a recording of the trial, we probably won't be getting that in all honesty. Nor any recordings of future trials for that matter. The US is really hellbent on recording or filming in the courtroom during a hearing.

According to the dmlp.org website:
"Recording is allowed in Virginia state courtrooms at the sole discretion of the presiding judge. It is, however, flatly prohibited in certain types of sensitive cases (e.g., those involving juveniles or sexual offenses"

At most we'll probably get leaked transcripts, some photographs or a courtroom sketch. Or someone who had the balls to smuggle a mic and record the hearing themself.
While recording isn't allowed, that isn't even the biggest problem. I'm not sure with 'Murica, but here, sexual crimes are very very rarely public hearings. They're usually held behind closed doors (which is a specific legal definition)

Has anyone from here actually attempted to contact the detective to give them information?
100% one retard has, and I can't stress this enough, for the new fags who think it's funny to get involved with this shit, DON'T INSERT YOURSELF INTO THIS you'll only hurt the investigation and make an ass of yourself in doing so

That's by parties or the public. There's generally also a recording or transcript by a court reporting company for use in appeals, although it might end up sealed and unavailable to the public.

"And Chandler was adamant that Sonichu was not Sonic fused with a Pikachu, but a Pikachu that became like Sonic. They became very upset when I got it wrong the first time."
"That's great, dear."

I'm literally reminded of the "WATCHMEN" graphic novel, where the optimistic doctor is shaken to the core and his beliefs rocked.

Granted, this is something that would be a thankless job and all, but I wonder why the Chris's attorney hasn't tried to sate Chris's panic over his belongings (from the hotel and at the house) by offering to secure them for him.

Like offering to take custody of the stuff at the hotel room at the very least, along with helping Chris detangle his belongings from Barb's stuff and trying to find a place to warehouse it.

I know it would be a thankless task, but it would keep Chris settled and calm to a degree. Also, you could consider it a good Samaritan action to keep his shit from thieves and other vultures.

Genuine question: Does Chris even have an attorney at this point? Would an attorney be called in for something minor as this since they were just talking about the bond and all that? I'd think that'd only happen for the actual "guilty verdict" trial.

Also, before you say "uhh I don't think chris did any depraved shit online", dude fucked his mother. Would you've believed me a month ago if I told you that? He's not harmless and deeply disturbed. He's actually quite literal and transparent in what he is. When he said back then he had trouble keeping himself from raping that one chick, he probably was dead serious.
He’s a garden variety sexual predator, nothing less. Him bragging about the tactics he used with Barb (going sloooww and patient with her) are classic as is his rationalization that he’s not “into labeling people,” His autism makes him even more dangerous because he has no remorse and basically doesn’t give a fuck what anyone else, judge, jury or whoever, thinks. He thinks he knows better. If he’s ever released into the public he will reoffend, guaranteed. He’s irretrievably broken.

There is no way a public defender is going to go through the effort to help Chris get his stuff. At best he might lie to him and say it'll be handled but I doubt he's going to want to harbor Chris's shit especially with the circumstances.
