I think he's more likely to have a State Guardian or be put into institutional care than incarcerated. The judge can probably clearly tell that he requires some serious care.

The judge isn't the one to decide if he is crazy or not and on any evaluation Chris will admit that he had sex with Barb "but what's wrong with that". This is all court requires - the defendant being able to understand if what he has done was wrong and have motive. Crazier people than Chris were sent in jail anyway.

no one is getting commited to a mental hospital for autism or incest, in Virginia, partially because of people who wanted to fill the hospitals

See i disagree if this was the case the world would've evolved to be more peacefull after the vikings europe had several crusades one of which against a peacefull sect of christianity,french revolution,russian revolution,WW1,WW2 and several colonial wars.
