Jim's just some contrarian that hates new shit, doesn't want anything to change, and easily gets frustrated at changes when they happen. People like him can't enjoy anything.

Maybe I'm just mistaken as I haven't actually played the Samurai Warriors games, but this seems to be closer to what Jim was wanting when was bitching about Dynasty Warriors 9. If he's still not happy that those changes were rejected, the fuck does he want?

Hyrule warriors with the dynasty warriors cast and everyone can use the claws and the claws are glittery and pink

To be fair to Jim, the new reskin for Samurai Warriors is weird and I'm not sold on it either. But I'm enjoying the game. That said, I pirated it because lol at paying 60+ dollars for a KOEI game.

It really is his fault that he's dug himself into a corner. I gave Forgotten City a chance for instance and it's ended up as one of my favorites of 2021 so far. If you only limit yourself to what you like, you miss out on so many other things.

But in general he would just comment on whatever was already in the news at the time. He wasn't a investigator or journalist after all just a talking head. The asset flipping thing was purely by accident because he had that side series where he reviewed crappy steam games.

Really, though, the third party reskins are where warriors is really at. Hyrule Warriors and Phantom Strikers were just fantastic, and One Piece and Berserk were pretty good too. Going back to one loosely based on history is always disappointing to some degree

Don't know why Jim ignores most of the spinoffs. Last year, we got 3 great ones (P5 Strikers, PW4, Age of Calamity), and he only acknowledged the Zelda one.

Oh, I don't have a problem at all with all the different Warriors games, I'm just not sold on the new designs for the Samurai Warriors characters. When Dynasty Warriors did their big shakeup the characters all at least still looked like grizzled men if they were older or at least generally like dudes. Every character in Samurai Warriors 5 looks like they could be in BTS.

That being said, the true crime is that the music in SW5 is mediocre to bad when compared to any of it's predecessors. How do you fuck up Warriors music? They took recognizable tracks and made them all objectively worse.

Of course he didn't talk about the persona one. He'd be cancelled by his troon followers and he'd actually lose patrons over it.

Anything related to Persona/P-studio has been labeled queerphobic and transphobic. Because of the troon reaction to Catherine Full Body "promoting trans panic" and Persona 4 and 5 making jokes about lgbtq people so often being creepy/pedos, and if there's anything lgbt twitter hates is when a japanese dev is based and points out the degeneracy of that community, and the Persona guy did with Yosuke's remarks to Kanji in 4 and the creepy pedo guys from persona 5. Oh and let's not forget trannies were also upset that Naoto's transness wasn't canon and ended up with her embracing her birth gender and rejecting the trans death cult.
