Middleschool for the young imposter we did the frog thing, it was messy and not very informative. (mostly just smelled bad and poking around hoping we found the right thing.) I think you were able to opt out if you wanted. I remember dissecting an owl pellet and finding that more interesting and smelled less. In highschool the marine biology I got to dissect a squid and that was very interesting.
