Which is why she held on until now. There were strong hints she wanted to leave this session of congress but held off for some reason. I'd propose, she hoped Biden's Handler's could unite the disparate elements. But whether they succeed or fail, she made it clear she plans to be out.

Because the Democrats don't DO an orderly succession. Fundamentally, their method of picking successors is a popularity contest. They throw potentials into the fire and see who comes out on top. Pelosi was actually -odd- in that she was trying to groom a proper successor. It wasn't that it was done late, she was grooming the man for it for a decade. It's that she had to keep him quiet and out of the fray until she pushed him into the limelight to give him even a chance at winning the contest.

What's going on with this? do we have a thread? this seems like it might be important. Apparently it was shut down temporary by a cyber attack and some leaker had their apartment raided.

My understanding is that:

The Colorado secretary of state deliberately leaked her own election system passwords, and then blamed the whistleblower for it (even though the SOS was the only person with access to that information). She used all this as a pretext to put out a press release framing said whistleblower while also raiding her office. Apparently Dominion officials also took part in the raid.

This just happens to take place right as the whistleblower was on her way to come speak at Mike Lindell's event, for at least part of what was supposed to be the "big announcement" at the end of night one. They ended up delaying that part quite a bit, and it seems like they had another whistleblower lined up to come speak - this one from Dominion - who got spooked from hearing about all this and backed out at the last minute.

Between this and everything else, they seem really desperate to shut this thing down any way they can. At this point I would legit not even be surprised if the feds just barge right in and arrest everyone.
