Like, he came off as a special needs guy who really didn't do much wrong but was just very odd, someone you'd feel bad for because they'll never have a normal life, but certainly don't expect to become a rapist or something similarly terrible. But watching those clips with the knowledge I have now made me think that I will probably not have such a positive view of other mentally challenged men in the future, since now I know how it can turn out. Unlike Chris, who grow up in stable household, able to afford two houses, two cars and all the toys consoles in the world, Chris’s HALFbrother Cole grew up relatively poor with his skank of a mother going from guy to guy.

He never even knew who his real father was.

And also unlike Chris, his halfbrother chose to hit the road the moment he turned 18, and managed to make a career in a competitive field (movie reviews), get married and live a normal life.


Some people hate Cole for different reasons, I don’t really know why.


What I like about Cole though, is that he’s living proof that we’re not just the result of our genetics or our upbringing. It’s also about choices.

Every day, Chris had the same choice his halfbrother had when he was 18: I want a normal, productive grown up life.

Pretty well off? Yeah that’s one way of putting it.

At a time when most kids could only dream of having a Sega AND a Nintendo and games cost the equivalent of 150$ today, Chris has literally every console available. And plenty of games and toys of every kind.

Bob also bought a Commodore 64 with ALL the accessories just for fun and cause he was kind of a geek I guess.

(Guess the equivalent price today would be 5000$-10000$. The C64 is also a good example of the contrast between Bob and Chris, and Chris’s lazy nature that focuses on immediate gratification. Bob, at the age of 60, actually taught himself to program it and made some simple games. Chris? He just used it as a 5000$ games console.)

So yeah. While Chris in his typical egotistical fashion might not be aware of how well off they really were. They were definitely what could be considered upper middle class in the local area.

After Barb retired that changed somewhat. But they still had enough money to several cars and filling the entire house with QVC crap.

They weren't ever destitute at any point in their life, temporarily homeless when the house was on fire, but their bank accounts where never bone dry of money. Chris has always lived on tax payers money, not including his brief period doing that pyramid scheme cutco stuff and working at Wendy's for a month or so, when he's always asking for more money during some of those beg videos, this is because he wants more money for toys/junk food/vidya because he's spent most of it already, or Barb was going through that Financhu crisis stage were her debt was piling up, and Chris was expected to pick up the pieces for her misdeeds regarding her credit card debt and house payments.

Whenever they were in dire financial straits, it was always greatly exacerbated, sure Chris has had court hearings regarding his own debt as well, but he's always been able to get by perfectly fine with the money he had and the few fans chucking him some cash here and there.

Now if he does end up in prison for over a year, this means that he will completely lose his SSDI benefits, and he'd have to go through the whole process of reapplying again, so who knows how that's going to go down.
