TGWTG The Spoony One / Spoony / Noah Antwiler and Rachel Baker / @RaeAngel07 - The touching romance between a washed-up videogame reviewer throwing a decade-long pity party and his delusional Canuck stalker. #weaknotsick #donttellmehowtosulk

Picture Spoony playing around in Ultima and Dad walks in and drops a pile of history books on his desk with a deafening thud. "Uhhhh what's going on here, Dad?" "If you're not gonna look for a job, you're gonna read these instead of the dragon shit that probably landed you here." "Well, I can assure you I've read these if you'll take a look at my highschool dip-" "Do not be FUCKING CUTE WITH ME, NOAH! Maybe you need a refresher. I want you to read how people had to live all throughout history and then tell me how miserable and unfair your life is when you got to sit on on your ass for TEN FUCKING YEARS, NOAH! You're 40 years old, Noah. You haven't worked a real job in decades. Do you see what's wrong with this picture?" "I worked as a content creator for years and established myself. I can put that on my resu-" "RESUMÉ!? You think you're getting that type of job after a decade of acting like a complete FUCKING FOOL on the internet!? Noah. You need take whatever you can get, or you need to leave."
It will be more like, "oh boy! It'll be so great to reconnect with our son after 10 years!"

Here's a nice way to pass a time, have some opinions and have overall fun:

What D&D alignment would best suite Spoony?

I will go with chaotic neutral. Also, he could be neutral evil as well.
Neutral. And not True Neutral, as someone trying to measure all things and keep a balance between them would be, but the Neutral/unaligned in 4E which is literally the "meh whatever" alignment because you just don't give a damn about anything.

Yes, sir.
AAAGHAHAHAHAHAH, WHAT AN ABSOLUTE FAGGOT! This goes up there with the kingdom hearts $10000 bet that he had the skill equipped THE WHOLE TIME YOU GUYZ!
I am sure, he is pathologically unable to accept he is wrong EVER. If he does he'll get an aneurysm or some shit and die on the spot.

I think it was publically viewable. Spoony probably just joined the Skype call since he was, at the time, not on the worst terms with the people in there.

Thanks! I'm just curious because one of the points criticizing Spoony here is that he intruded into a private event. It's one thing to comment on someone's private game, but if you're doing it public? That seems to invite comments.

The issue wasn't even that it was just him commenting. There are scenarios where he would have been in the right to do what he did. I forget who was running the game, may have been Rollo-T. But if it was clear that the DM was struggling to get control or something, and the players were disregarding him, sure. But Spoony had a fucking "holier-than-thou" attitude about it and was very clearly talking down at the group. Even if he came in and just asked "I just wanted to be sure if the DM is doing alright" he would have been a little more tolerable. Not that he had much of an excuse because he could likely text chat directly with the DM to see, anyways. Spoony was entirely out of line in how you handled that.

Well I doubt it seemed like the CA people really wanted to play with him much. Have you ever seen that clip of him butting into that LordKat game to give someone shit? He just shows up to berate someone for doing something that hijacked the plot, somewhat. And they fucking clapped back at him for it. They literally told him "we were having fun, the DM didn't seem to mind, you're out of fucking line barging in like this".
It didn't even derail it from what I understand. All that happened was LordKat rolled a random animal chart for the guard's heraldry and it landed on bees; the players laughed at the guards with bees on their armor and LordKat laughed along with them. Pretty normal D&D stuff tbf.

Then Spoony joined and shit all over the players.

Allow me to re-contextualize. Spoony acted like that's what they were doing.

He barges in and acts like the DM-in-chief. As though LordKat doesn't have a proper handle on the situation and needs Noah to show him how it's done.

I don't know anything about D&D etiquette, but I'm pretty sure that's out of order.

We're all pets in need of his guidance. Remember DragonStrike? Spoony assuring us that anyone can DM, and that it's not difficult? Wasn't that the whole point of the video?

Gatekeeping prick.
Like those 2 BLM protestors (or whatever the fuck they were) who interrupted Bernie Sanders. Same attitude or intention.

I was thinking about Spoonys D&D alignment today.

And hear me out, I don't think Spoony has an "evil" alignment. He wants everyone to leave him alone, he doesn't wana work, doesnt need help, is fubar beyond repair. He doesnt want anything really, except posting tweets on twitter. People can stop donations on the Patreon at any time, if they want. Its like giving money to the Bum, its up to you, no matter how much the Bum is begging for the money, it up to a person to give their money to the Bum, or not.

Now YanderDev is more neutral Evil then Spoonyone, because that's the guy with some schemes and a (backfiring) plan. So I'm sticking to my chaotic neutral. He is lying his ass out and being an asshole to his loyal fanbase. But that same loyal fanbase (not counting people who follow him, just to post on the sites like these) are as guilty as Spoony is.

Is it possible to change alignments? He believes fervently in his own greatness...at least, he used to.
Yes. Your character's actions determine alignment, not the other way around.

While you can't attach such simple things as D&D alignments to real people (even though I just did) it's still safe to say they'd go through a similar kind of change.

Spoony's the kind of person to be the old eccentric wizard who lives out in the forest, smoking a pipe, and having a long white beard. He's pissed though because he was the King's Wizard, until one day he turned the king's eldest son into a hamster after fucking up an incantation. Despite warnings from fellow wizards that the spell was wrong, he said 'Don't tell me how to chant' and then ZAP. Now he's exiled, unable to work spells, and hopes the King will someday want him back... but he's too depressed to go anyway... and the tower he lives in is owned by his parents...

In older editions (the ones Spoony reveres), it's possible but difficult, and it comes with a penalty to your experience points gained for the next level as you "adjust your new mindset," which makes it all the more funny when Spoony always seems to vacillate between calling himself Lawful and Neutral Good. Maybe that's why he has sadbrains and hasn't put out any videos in 5 years, he can't wrap his head around his new alignment and his XP gain is in the red.
