The BBC link to the sentencing was pretty bare bones, so I'm posting the AP and CNN links which offer a bit more color. I think Timmy should be looking at eight months as the absolute floor of his sentence and realistically looking at something closer to the 18 months the prosecutors were looking for with this guy. They have been charged with the exact same crimes, but he is lacking several of the mitigating factors that reduced the ultimate penalty.
Per the CNN article "District Judge Randolph Moss departed from that recommendation. He said Hodgkins contributed to a grave offense against democracy but deserved some leniency because he pleaded guilty "exceptionally early," wasn't involved in violence and issued a "sincere" apology." Baked will be 1/3 on those factors since I'm doubting a sincere apology will be issued and it seems like he will be dragging this thing out. If anything, the DOJ can present ample video evidence of him gloating and bragging about what he did.
That guy also had a clean record like Baked does, however, it looks like the mace case will be going to trial in the coming weeks and will likely conclude with a guilty verdict before the 1/6 case kicks off. He was offered a guilty plea and two days in jail, but rejected it, opting to go to trial and risking a 30 day sentence. Not sure how he thinks he can weasel out of it considering the video evidence. Given this predictable outcome, Baked is now looking at his 1/6 sentencing as a convicted criminal.
His lawyer is also gonna have a real fun time trying to portray Baked as some sympathetic character who is of good moral character and just got caught up in the moment. The other guy was literally an Eagle Scout and Baked is, well, Baked. All of his special moments from Charlottesville till this very day where he is screaming "nigger" are captured for eternity and publicly available on video.
Imagine an all black jury in DC being shown everything and getting the chance to convict.
So yeah. Ultimately, I think he is royally and rightfully fucked. He has been telling everyone his expectation is probation and has been making his life choices accordingly, so I've got to imagine he is really this delusional and foolish to think he will just get a slap on the wrist for 1/6 and walk on the mace case. Only Baked Alaska would think this is the perfect time to leave his rent free home and move to Florida with his two degenerate buddies.
And lest we forget, he still has that voter suppression case to be worried about.
