Has anyone got a good breakdown on if Trump's withdrawal was planned any differently? I just see people going, "But it was Trump's plan, it'd have been worse if they left on May 1st."

I read somewhere that when Biden didn't stick to that May 1st date the Taliban then just started conquering. Was that just always going to be the day they started to retake the country?

I think the 2nd paragraph is correct, but also includes Biden dropping some extra bombs on the way out.

Well yeah. America's pulling out was a tactic admission the the forever war was a pointless pile of shit. The onyl difference is presumably the weapons and armaments would have been brought as well or detroyed instead of gifted to

Its in the op. There are two things you have to understand, Afghanistan was going to fall -- PERIOD. The Trump plan just avoided the abject humiliation of us fleeing Kabul as it is under siege just like Saigon, nonstop repeat events of "Afghanistan is going to last x days" only for 3 major cities to fall the next day and the capital under siege the following. Its entirely about optics, Trump would have had us leave and everyone would have clapped their hands because the country didn't go to shit when we left then everyone would scream BLURRPMMMMMHHHHH!! Castigating Trump when the same series of events occur.
