Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

I really don't have a good feeling about Biden being POTUS, at this point he looks weak and more importantly unreliable to outside viewers. The US needs to project the appearance of a reliable and capable threat of massive retaliation at all times, otherwise potential hostile groups may see the risk of a military action or attack as something other than total and assured destruction.

What did you expect when you voted for him? He has been obviously mentally incapacitated for years.
So why is him fucking up crisis after crisis now suddenly a surprise?

Good thing though. He does not do mean tweets and he added a "my pronouns" to the whitehouse webpage. The important stuff! You got what you wanted. Stop complaining.

Would you say it's bad as in there are more governments for people to distrust, or do you think federalism helps weather the storm a bit? Sorry this is several pages ago, I'm just catching up.

Have family members who stopped watching Fox entirely the second they called Arizona for Biden and went straight to Newsmax. The GOP base's instincts for spotting uselessness, fecklessness, and betrayal is well-honed.

The hatred for Trump was always ephemeral. It has had staying power and political potency because it let people who watched and believed the news feel like they were a part of something, #Resisting, etc. But it was never personal. None of his most hated policies affected Americans.

But the hatred people will have for Joe Biden will be fucking earned.

Hitler wasn’t elected, he was appointed Chancellor after losing the election. When the President at the time died from complications from old age, Hitler came into power.

Kamala wasn’t elected, she was appointed Vice President after losing the primary. When the current President dies from complications from old-HISTORY NEVER REPEATS, BUT IT RHYMES.

I seriously doubt that. The talibans are not that crazy that they will shoot down an airliner. Disabling the runway, the tower, sure, but nothing good will come out of downing an airliner and they know it.

And the Talibans will probably not shell the runway either. They will need it later in a few weeks when all the top level
chineese government and mining companies will need to fly in to talk about various deals between these two new BFF countries.

It will rather be "can you fuckers evacuate and fly out like yesterday? we need the airport for all the flights from china".

Neither, the distrust goes beyond merely the citizen in a federalized state. If it sinks deep enough, the small countries that are states will begin to distrust as well. When that occurs, you have a brewing civil war.

Could you imagine if (or when) there's another terrorist attack on our soil (overseas or in the States) only for us to find out the weapons used in the attack came from Afghanistan? Even the press couldn't possibly refuse to grill Biden over such a possibility not unless they want to be the ones grilled themselves.
