Taliban offensive of 2021 and collapse of Afghan government.

I am getting dead space vibes. If a anyone played the first game and watched the media around it. Basically people are trying to escape the space zombie outbreak and they overload the space shuttles. Which cause them to crash and lead to everyone being stranded and massacred in the end.

Absolutely delusional
>you MUST include women in your government!!1!!
They didn't give a single shit about your trained army and you think they gonna give a shit about the women?
they are all being tagged sold as cattle as we speak, absolute delusional thinking that their own morals apply to them
We are really being ruled by the kind of dipshits who believe that America can still influence the outside world. Looks like they don't understand that the Taliban don't care about being canceled by Visa or blacklisted by Wells Fargo or called bigots and racists by niggers and coal burners on Twitter.

They would've. They even conned Trump into talking Afghanistan into releasing 5,000 of their soldiers and their president.

They were still doing attacks, just from Pakistan, very recently. They knew the US was leaving soon, so they could pretend to play nice and then launch their attacks.

That being said, we couldn't be there forever. I am glad that we are out of there, and whether that happened under Trump or Biden or whoever, it was gonna happen eventually.
Even if Trump waited until his agreed date of May 1st to start leaving we still would've been out of there months ago.

Joe Biden pushed the date back to 9/11 out of hubris because he wanted a photo op.

Write as much personal fanfiction as you'd like, but the fact remains Biden condemned thousands of people to die for political points.

I definitely agree we should've been outa there years ago but I really don't think Taliban would've been so aggressive if Trump was still in there. For his many faults, the guy was a prolific kebab remover. ISIS controlled a landmass roughly the size of Great Britain in 2016 and he (and Russia) completely obliterated them.

I think that stuff matters to third worlders, they respect power. Biden just exudes weakness, and our allies know what's up when they see images of Afghans falling 500 feet after trying to hang on to the exterior of a plane after takeoff. This is a historical optics fail and will probably be the thing that defines Biden's presidency.
Putin and Trump made a good team.
this is the clownest of worlds, i swear to god

They seem to be flying 3 of these out in a row.

Careful now. You keep this up, he'll start searching your post history for things to go down and rate MATI like he did to some random phone user yesterday, after crying to Null about people supposedly doing it to him:

from this point on, I really feel like quoting Nine Inch Nails - The Wretched lyrics ITT to all future developments here, because the song really does fit the situation perfectly. starting with...

it's a moot point because after may 1st everyone of note would have been gone, and then no one would give a shit about another middle-eastern shithole and how fast the taliban would've taken over. the situation where trump had to ponder how to respond would've never coming in the first place.

I have to wonder if the Bush neo-cons instead of trying to build up an educated urban elite to run the country DC style had instead focused on a decentralized night watchmen state, where ethnic and tribal leaders could run their own terf would have worked. You could built up the infrastructure and economies just enough that outward warfare would not be worth the effort. But oh no, can't do business with someone who wears traditional garb on the daily, can only meet with le havard educated glowie groomed intellectual who is just a corrupt fuck in a nice armani suit. And muh heckin' womanerions (now people-who-birtherinos)!

I'm really begging to realize the prog-SJWs are just the hair dyed decedents of Bush era neo-conservatism, but on steroids.
I don't really think you could have ever set up a sharmartcracy there like what we have in the west. In the modern west, the "elected" ruling class has nothing to really fear from its general population, and everything to gain by holding on to control by any means necessary. That's obviously not the case in Afghanistan.

Unpopular opinion: I'm happy The Great Rollback happened because this thread got really fucking cancerous yesterday.
But I feel lazy to rewrite my effort post on why the Korean War was a mistake that started the forever war trend.

Also I like @Cpl. Long Dong Silver explaining why a GWOT veteran like him supported the Taliban because they are a symbol that provides catharsis against the shit birds in DC that basically fucked everyone.

>Import one million Afghan refugees
>Taliban fighters sneak into America and start training white supremacists
>White Taliban than emerges and pulls a Kabul onto Washington

Bring it on
