Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

Folks, a few thoughts. First, this isn't the worst military defeat we've suffered. The Taliban NEVER beat US forces in ANY battle, far as I know. I put the failure primarily on the Afghan government, corrupt as all hell and not giving their people a real reason to fight the Taliban. Afghanistan is a primitive, medieval place, where loyalties to family and tribe are more important than loyalty to some nebulous entity in Kabul. An Afghan government that wasn't corrupt and that actually gave a shit about their people could have done quite well against the Taliban, with all the equipment and assistance they got from the US and many other countries. Sadly, once again, a parallel with South Vietnam.

Second, while what's happening is a major Biden regime fuckup, it could have been so much worse. We have no overriding national interests in Afghanistan. Not worried about the rare earths, as I understand we're getting our own and engineering electronics to use less of these substances. Not so on the Korean Peninsula, where a Biden regime fuckup could plunge us into war, with an outside chance of the North Koreans trying to launch missiles against US bases, US allies, or the US itself. THAT is an anus-clenching proposition. Or maybe some Russian commander across from the Baltics gets a wild hair and moves into, say, Latvia or Estonia. That would require a NATO response. Or China launches missile attacks against Taiwan. No, sadly LOTS more worse scenarios.

So if you think this shit is bad, I fear we may not have seen anything yet. No confidence, faith, or trust in the Biden regime. This gang can't even load their weapons, much less shoot straight.

Biden literally wanted to announce that he was the one to get us out of Afganistan on the 20th anniversery of 9/11. That's it. Optics.

He wanted to take credit for it and his ego fucked it all up, requiring him to move up the time table to now because the Taliban saw the agreement was breached and started to advance, causing the shitshow currently unfolding.

How's the optics looking now, Joe?

It's not super uncommon, but it's almost a 100% guarantee that you'll die from it. If you try riding the gear, the wind will rip you off fairly quickly. If you make it up into the landing gear bay, there's a good chance you will get crushed by 3000+ psi hydraulic pistons if you don't know how to contort your body in the open spaces. If you make it that far, you will either suffocate or freeze to death, depending on the aircraft and elevation. Those doors that close around the gears aren't even close to air tight.

There was an agreement, which she has mentioned. Trump had to play hardball with them BECAUSE they stalled.

Meanwhile, by announcing their intentions, American officials took pressure off the Taliban to negotiate with Afghan leaders. The Pentagon’s inspector general noted in February that “The Taliban intends to stall the negotiations until U.S. and coalition forces withdraw so that it can seek a decisive military victory over the Afghan government.”

If the agreement was followed without any interference, we would've been out already. Adding an extension especially after a hardball offer makes it worse.

They don't want us there. It would be more years of endless conflict. Again, that agreement was the closest we had to getting out of there without further casualities on our end. If the Taliban screwed up AFTER we stuck to our end of the bargain, that's on THEM. I'm sure they would've down the line, but again, honor thy agreement. Biden adding 9/11 contradicts his statement of not wanting to stay there.

Now I'll agree with this point. Middle East intervention was a bipartisan effort, especially heated by the higher ups in charge of the military. However, since Biden is the Commander in Chief and this happened under his supervisor with little opposition, I would say it IS HIS FAULT.

No backups, no go to hell plans, even the carriers were out of position despite the fact that the Taliban started moving in MAY! FUcking MAY! The military airlift capacity was being used to move illegal spics from the border into red states, so it was completely out of position. The Air Force was being dicked with so hard they couldn't even perform peacetime training missions (there's articles here about it), but OH! IT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED THE SAME WAY! Eat fucking shit. This was so incompetent fucking BOOTS could have fucking done a better job on the withdrawal. It's a fucking joke caused their fucking hubris. We knew we were going to lose regardless. We should have pulled out after OBL was killed. We should have killed OBL when the normal Army guys found him FOUR TIMES instead of trying to call in Meal Team Six and letting him get away, and I blame Bush and Co and the CIA and the snake eater community for that shit.

Biden's fuckup is so big, he united all of Afghanistan to support the Taliban in bringing America to its knees.

A bunch of goat herders using firearms from the first and second world wars managed to make a fool out of the most technological strongest nation in our era.
