Half the complaints about media they make nowadays can be answered with "because the character wasn't thinking like a rational robot" or "because there wouldn't be much of a movie if that happened." They almost never talk about anime, Mauler has only seen stuff like One Punch Man (and only season 1 AFAIK) and a couple episodes of SAO, that's about it. Closest he has to talking about an anime properly was Avatar: The Last Airbender if you consider that an anime, and that was a whole fiasco of autism.

I like how when MauLer talks about a show, he has to focus on a single episode because his gish gallop style of critique doesn't lend itself well to big picture things that aren't movies.
I refuse to listen to anything they have to say about Extra Credits and the orc shit because they all praised Jay Exci's Doctor Who video in which he made the exact same argument EC did about orcs. He complained that the Doctor viewed whole races as evil, because that's bad and prejudiced, and he didn't like that the writers proved the Doctor right by having said races actually be evil. Mauler and co. just can't contradict him because they have to keep their precious token troon. It's infuriating. They don't even try to be objective anymore.
After this and the Snyder cut videos both being released 2-5 weeks after the respective movies being released, he's got zero damn excuses for why the TFA series is still unfinished almost three years after he started it, and it gets more embarrassing with each passing month and year. Especially since we're in a situation where post-Mandalorian, TFA is completely irrelevant to all of the SW projects in development, between Mando, Visions, the Kenobi and Ashoka series, and Rouge Squadron movie are either pre-sequel trilogy in continuity or seem to ignore the sequel trilogy.
