“Nooooooo you can’t enjoy bad things happening to fictional character just because you hate them!”
It gets funnier when you know that this person also really fucking hates Kylo Ren and didn’t think he deserved the redemption via death.

Blame the animators. That's what they believe is the source for the comedy of their anime.
The problem is that they're trying to recreate the kind of visual gags you'd find in traditional anime with the exaggerated movements and facial expressions.
The reason Goku wolfing down food is so funny is because of how simplistic he looks in order to facilitate the fast movement. The joke doesn't really work when fully rendered CGI models try doing the same thing without much else changing visually aside from making their eyes bigger.

So It's been a while since I've bothered to watch it, but I know that the original premise of hunter vs grimm was thrown out the fucking window after the first two seasons. I've heard that the best way to watch rwby is to pretend the first five seasons are one giant story, then skip through entire episodes in the later seasons because it's more fillery and basically a nothing burger held up by duct tape and dreams. Thoughts?

First 3 seasons are an arc, 4-6 is an arc, then 7 and 8 is an arc.

The best way to watch RWBY is to not watch RWBY. Honestly the best watch method tbh.
