Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

Contrary to the weird black pills, yes it still matters.

States will look to it to affirm or deny legislations, and while I hold they dropped the ball fucking -hard- during the election they haven't yet divested themselves of all legitimacy. A direct refusal to follow their authority would still be absolutely catastrophic for the Admin, the fact they are skirting the edges of it isn't good for them... least of all because them doing so was borrowing against capital that now will never come.

At some point, someone is bound to start asking the "elephant in the room" question - What the fuck you gonna do about it, Joe? Seriously. If enough people said "fuck this" and did their shit, I'm not even sure at this point that this joke of an administration would successfully hand wring or pull off a Reaganesque "fire em all" moment re: ATC episode. This administration takes fucking week long vacations in the midst of international crises where thousands of American lives are in danger, I'm not too worried any more about what the wrongthink police will do when people tell them to shove that mask up their gaping post-op meathole.

Except they didn't. They officially ruled that the moratorium could stand. In the decision to that was Kavanaugh saying the CDC did overreach their mandate but wouldn't rule on that since it had a week left. That bit of text is -not legally binding-. It's just a very, very clear indicator of how the decision would go if put back on their desk.

Added...I have seen a lot in our country over the years, but have never seen a White House so filled with incompetents and a President and Vice-President who are totally incompetent. These people cannot do ANYTHING important properly. They have left thousands of Americans basically stranded in Afghanistan, at the mercy of the Taliban. And Joey says American citizens don't have priority. REALLY, Joey? The people who pay your salary? The people whose loved ones are in YOUR seemingly-impotent military, thanks to you? The people who make this country work, because you and that ignorant twat can't do a single fucking useful thing?

I've seen Presidents do some stupid shit, but they've also shown competence in other areas. I didn't like every President, but I knew they had some competency, even Carter and Obama. Joey is the first President I have ever seen to have no redeeming competence whatsoever. Harris at best is a nonentity. She likes the title of Vice-President but is also simply incompetent. Can't do ANYTHING. No ability. No common sense. EVERYTHING taken over by politics. And the people working for them...just fucking useless.

It is enough to bring a person who truly cares about our country to tears of anger, shame, and frustration.

Our poor country is truly and utterly fucked with these people using the White House as their playpen, not even mature enough to be allowed in a sandbox.
