Clownfish TV / Thomas & Kambrea Pratt / Kneon & Geeky Sparkles - The Self-Proclaimed Nemeses of Kevin Smith, Profiting off of Nerd Outrage, Part of the Fandom Menace, Gaslit by a Cartoon

I was here when the thread was first posted. I thought "Oh, these guys. I watch them occasionally. Don't see how much of a reason as to why they are lolcows". Then I stopped watching them and occasionally checked out the thread. Now I come back to them sperging out.

It's like a part of the Yotube monetization TOS is that you can't take any form of criticism what so ever.

PS, their plushie looks like shit lol

It was fucking huge in places, nearly tmnt huge in places, just like you could have bands with number one hits on one side of the continent that nobody else heard of. They didn't do a live action movie with no toys on the shelves for probably a decade because it was a niche to medium sized property. North America wasn't a cultural monolith back then. Lots of areas would keep running the cartoons well after the toys were off shelves too because it was way cheaper than new cartoons. It really all depended on what your local stations offered up at the time
Makes sense it would be regional. There's shows I remember that quite few people haven't heard of Like pirates of the dark water. Plus cable television hasn't always been around

No, Kneon. Geeky writes the dialogues or something.
To be fair, this was from the first page, the artstyle improves later on. I kinda liked it 'cause it still looks better than calarts but they are way overestimating how good they are.
so they didnt bother to do it right? or when did they start it? kneon worked on some high profile comic books so i was hoping he was somewhat skilled.
gives a real bad taste when they rage about bad comics.

Widespread cable destroyed regionality in television, media mergers destroyed what little was left. The internet killed it for music

I'd put he-man below transformers for 80s properties, but probably about equivalent to smurfs or care bears. There was no way he-man was getting revived today in its original good vs evil, no nuance, strong men protecting weaker men and women form, so watching clownfish get bent out of shape like there was ever a chance has been pretty amusing. I mean, Netflix put black elves in the Witcher so how was he-man not getting adjusted for the times? It was equally likely that we'd get a shot for shot remake of any 80s sex comedy where half of the scenes are now considered rape

I miss local access TV. G.I was huge I remember everyone had the toys. Silverhawks is up there with motu

This is was their webcomic started way back in 2010 (first pages were hand drawn, if I'm not mistaken). It did have a fan base around 2010-2013 but everything changed when the evil sjws attacked market trends shifted and advertisements stopped bringing them enough money. Then someone trolled their Kickstarter campaign and they were salty ever since... Geeky also claimed they couldn't find a publisher because her female protagonist wasn't feminist enough. That part I'm actually willing to believe.
Considering the subscriber boost they received from r/KiA, they could have finished their comic already, but it's been like 4 years? Not to mention, you have to draw constantly to refine your artskills and I don't remember the last time Kneon posted any kind of art?

It's not from the first page, but early chapters, that they use as promo in their indegogo. Which makes it worse, because they think it's holding up and is good enough to promote the book. This is the sample THEY CHOSE as good.

But does it improve? Looking at this random mix of pages from the internet:

These are the newest covers, Kneon lines clearly became more steady due to amount he was drawin, but he lacks any kind of.... I don't know. Talent? Pleasant eye experience? Colours are terrible, use of light and shadow non existent, and WTF is going on with her hair? Composition? What is that? He became better draftsman, but not better quality artist. There seem to be no self reflection in his work and he repeats the same mistakes again again anad again. Which deosn't surprise me, because he is always selling himself to his audience as seasoned pro while shitting on others. With this.

He clearly wants to draw and be an artist, but lacks the qualities that make somebody good at their craft - insight, analisys and being able to look at one work from afar and self critique. His skills upped in years not because he' went on a quest to improve, but he draftd more,. There is no selfawarness in his improvement, because my guess is, going how he presents him on YT, he thinks he's good enough. And that's the most cringey part.

Or I can go into how boring their panneling is. Especially in their action scenes. Or the colouring with no awarness of colour theory to pop information on the page. Frankly the colours even managed to regress. Or the lazy ink work they'd shit on if it was a pro drawing.
Kneon clearly used to draw manga and he now suffers from what is dubbed manga nose syndrome, when yougo from manga to realism, but keep the placement of the nose and eyes which makes the chracters look like they have too long noses and eyes end up too high, because noses are bogger and eyes are smaller.

It would be so easy to fix his work, but he doesn't even try. Even with their videos- they put zero effort into editing or presenting content in a coherent manner, and it gets worse with every Geeky's shriek. They stopped trying when their begging for new subs worked and they got to 100k.

This is why they are my personal cows, even if they don't produce all that much drama, They produce work of this low quality and think they are better than other artists in the industry (they made what? 8? 10? vids on not Starfire and shat on it how far it would go).

Oh and because they look more like retarded siblings than anything else.

I don't. At least not 100%. They work is really uneven and subpar in this comics and I have no doubt that really no publisher would be interested without major redraws and editorial input.
Here's the thing. Good work defends itself. Thier work, even if amazing writing and great storytelling, is superficially ugly at first glance. But it doesn't have great storytelling and I guess it doesn't have all that great writing. And publishers recognised it as having no potential in print. Given how adverse they are to any improvement, I have no doubt Clownfish'd have rejected any kind of editorial input too. So I do believe they are telling themselves that they were not a good polisocial fit, or even that someone could have said it to them, but more like in the context- leave us alone, please, we don't want your book here, but we're too polite to tell you it's shit.

Make sure to archive since they've been deleting so many tweets. (They're already blaming it on angry She-Ra fans.)

Kneon has been on a big "he's the boss" trend lately. Thinking he's the going to be able to hire people and completely bypass the industry because he says so. I'm wondering when it's going to sink in that working for them now is blacklist worthy for the industry. There is a reason why Doomcock keeps his face covered and identity secret, he's hasn't made himself unemployable. A LOT of the current popculture grift commentators are going to have a really hard time finding stable work when youtube dries up.

Also, Kneon has been precipitously close to going full anti-vaxx on Twitter. He and Geeky have both been posting about "someone dying of blood clots" and "adverse side effects/Geeky's unusual periods" the last few months. While the current politics of Covid are irrelevant to this thread, it is worth keeping an eye open if Twitter brings down the hammer.

I'm fairly sure Kneon has been a lurker on the Farms before this. They've pulled a lot of information for thier videos based upon info posted on the Farms. (Before widespread dissemination to the internet at large.)

(As for the kids, I'm normally fine and completely agree with leaving kids out of threads, but the boy is over 18. IMO his info should still be up. That creepy sexual Pokémon Snap Let's Play warrants it. Plenty of other over 18 tubers are listed on the Farms for stuff like that. Fully agree with leaving the daughter off because she is still a minor.)

The kids shouldn't have to suffer from their parents' stupidity. Like highlighting the weird let's plays is one thing, but that's as far as it should go, I don't want them to end up harmed

The Farms general rule is to look, don't touch the cows and always has been.

I'm not sure why making a special exception for him is warranted in this case. Obviously, it's up to the OP over what they want to include (and we'll go with whatever they decide) but precedent is there.

I think something a lot of people are missing on them not finding a publisher is that Geeky was in the meetings about getting a publisher. It's exhausting listening to her when she gets going on something and why wouldn't she crank it up to 10 on her dumb art-baby. There's gonna be a decent amount of "Christ I need a drink and to never talk to her again" at the end of a publisher meeting

I agree with this. If Sqiudking does become a lolcow it should be because of his own actions. Cringy let's plays are a dime in a dozen honestly. He should be left alone in the meantime.
