Uto just stayed behind after scrims to talk about the games with their coach I think. Sounds like she's beating herself up for not having enough game sense/knowing strats and started crying again which is just heartbreaking as fuck. I don't know how much tournament experience she has, but it sounds like being thrown into a relatively big tourney as a team captain has fucked her up since she sounds anxious as hell the past few streams. Anyway, tournament is tomorrow for the two other people here that care about competitive Apex.

I decided to do another once-over on the Niji Wave 3 tweets in light of this and it turns out that the way they've worded it doesn't suggest the final winners were picked by Jul. 29.

I have zero insider knowledge, but I surmise that Niji scouts are reviewing submissions as they're coming in, so when they reached the Jul. 18 deadline they could quickly contact the ones they want for the first audition. So the Jul. 29 tweet is just them saying that someone MAY have been contacted for their first audition and haven't yet - or in other words, the second audition hadn't begun yet.

There are multiple audition stages such as a phone call with the scouts, then performing a small segment of what your stream may look like. We also know through Finana that Noor was directly involved with choosing LazuLight and Obsydia, which means it's possible the current NijiEN have a say on who gets in.

3 weeks have passed and I feel like we may now be seeing people know they've got in and start graduating. Not saying I think Lyrica is one of them, but I certainly feel the timing and gap between graduation and Wave 3 is going to be very similar to that of Mint, Nova, Doki, and Miki.

EDIT: Also had a thought whilst showering that the Wave 3 audition form has a much more obvious focus on how big your current social media numbers are. I.e. they want to know how many subs you have, your average views etc.

I don't necessarily LIKE that approach, but I could rationalise it as them snagging the lower sub Indies first, giving them a space to grow, and then keep that growth going by picking up people who have a sizeable audience ready to follow them into the company. Now again, I'm not saying 81K sub Lyrica is one of them, but she also ticks that that box. At the very least, we can expect some of Wave 3 to be of higher profile.

To be fair, this case is Gura asking permissions for dozens of games at the same time. Kinda like buying a years worth of pasta because it's 5% off at the store.

Unironically, Gura playing Lawn Mowing Simulator or Power Wash simulator would be maximum entertainment due to the inevitable stream of consciousness mode she'd enter during it.

Gura don't know how long it will take before each game will get the permission nor will some of them ever get it, and it isn't her job to care. She think of game she want for her work, and she told the stuffer to procure it. Some might get a reply soon and then Gura and all her friend benefit from larger pool of game to pick up. Some will be rejected or ghosted and that's fine. The management job is literally to shut up and send e-mails to those publisher, not to make snarky remark for whatever reason.

My thoughts about Gen2 so far:
Official lore/trailer - 1/10, holy shit that was such a shitty, edgy gibberish I got embarassed for watching it, whoever is responsible for it please never write anything in your life again, thank you
Girls' activities on twitter - 3/5, because the other 2 were banned for most of time
Debuts - HoloEN/10

Also, Gura Alter and 80's Gura singing The Last Stand once each was enough to make a happy man if only for a day.
