General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Would be interesting to know how Cover is going with their attempt to hire more staff to try and keep up with everything they're trying to do, as that's been a big problem for them since their boom last year.

If that's what the manager actually said, then they're an fucking retarded (Gura could have summarized their response), sure Gura asking for so many games (I imagine without actually ordering them in preference) wouldn't be ideal, as they have to try and contact every rights holder for every game, and then wait for a reply that might never come, on whether they'll enter a written legal agreement (Which boils down to, you won't be a fuck stick and copyright strike our talents). It's probably a long winded and time consuming process, but one they probably feel compelled to do after members nearly lost their channels.

What management should really be doing (And I don't know if they already are.) is proactively getting stuff sorted out with publishers, which should theoretically give them either straight up access or at least an easier time getting permission. On that note I have no idea what's up with Sony, as it sounds like they have permissions for some stuff, but sounds like other games have been denied.

So Baelz is confirmed to be Australian by now right? Her debut stream hashtags, before it was privated, had:
#illustrayBAE
#MADDOOFS
Doofs is Australian slang, and if you use some imagination "illustray" could be her combining illustration and 'straya.
Also noticed a post on 4ch referring to Marica Bellerose who was an Australian vtuber from myholotv, graduated in March. Possible candidate? She has completely nuked her youtube and twitter.

Gura asking for games permission, literally doing her job.
EN Management : "Look at your senpai, always so overkill lol"

Guys, from banning the girls to collab with Coco and ghost her for 9 months, fuck up and leak IRyS opening movie, and then hiring someone who ridicule their most popular talent in front of her new co-worker, I have a feeling HoloEN management is a group of incompetent bitch.
They're lucky Gura's nice and doesn't snap back at them. I'd just straight up mock them for bitching about being asked to do their job instead of just leeching off my success.

To be fair, this case is Gura asking permissions for dozens of games at the same time. Kinda like buying a years worth of pasta because it's 5% off at the store.
Yeah. To play Devil's Advocate here, she's basically asking them to do a ton of work at once.

This does raise some questions about the hiring process though. I've never seen them post an ad for new management, even though they do it a lot for the talent. Understandably, they don't want any weens untrustworthy individuals doxing or stalking the talents, since they're a high profile company. However if they have a closed hiring process (nepotism?) there's no doubt why the management sucks somewhat.

Edit: Apparently they did post it publicly. I may be retarded.

I think she's using doof from bidoof, a rodent pokemon

This is the normal way to do things, Korone has talked about this before. because she likes retro games so much, half the rights are a mess so she has to ask for a bunch and hope to get SOMETHING she wants to play

Might also be a deliberate mislead, I'm expecting her to start off with a fake Australian accent. Much like Ame and the British one.

Imagine if she actually turns out to be British instead.

When Gura fans watch Baelz we'll call it shrimp on the barbie.

EDIT: In this clip Gura says her game requests "annoy" the management. Is requesting to stream games really that troublesome? (Genuinely asking here, I don't know what's involved)

I can't say I know what actually involved since non of my uncle work for Cover or nintendo, but it could be something as simple as an E-mail from indie saying "Yeah go nuts!" or a long negotiation with mega corp that go "we allow you to stream our game, but you must not turn on monetization nor superchat not play it in member only stream, and when the game come to this very specific moment, you must mute the music and jump around the room and bark for five minutes."
At the end of the day, it's the same - Not the talent job. Imagine your procurement officer being snarky and complain when the foreman said they need more steel beam ready for when their work in this section finish to reduce down time. Wait, I can kinda see that happen all the time.

I'm guessing they do hiring in the same way other Japanese companies do, which is not the same way as advertising recruitment for new vtubers.

Korone would be ok with that.

Still amazed how he is managing to finesse simps into donating with how mind numbingly boring the VA is and Jesus Christ the stream is just looking at Twitter videos. Smh you know people are bored when you see 2.1k viewers watching this shit.
Ya wanna know the funniest part of all this? SMG4 (yes the stoopid mario gmod assclown who somehow got multiple animated shows funded by Australian taxpayers) hired the voice actress for his Splatoon OC Donut Steel ("Meggy") to do vtuber streams in character, and every damn one was more watchable* than any of these clipper faggots have managed despite SMG4 having almost nothing to do with vtubers besides stealing their voice clips for his 2009-era videos.

HOW EMBARRASSING.

*i watched them because she collabed with Wolfychu shaddap about it

Maybe it's just me but it sounds like the "new" management staffs tries to be make a little joke? From this clip with added SC moment, it sounds like she enjoys the little banter they have.

In other news, Reddit Poopypost with the rotten flesh.

Ceres appeared, only Kroni and Baelz remain

What are the chances the managers can't actually do permissions work and have to take them to Covers legal team, which wouldn't surprise me if it was 1-3 people and they have to do all the game permission requests and working out the contract if they get the okay from the rights holder, and Gura is just getting secondhand snark from legal, as they have a massive backlog of game requests to make, including their usual legal work.

Or this new Gen 2 manager is as socially retarded as the rest of us, and failed at making a funny joke.
