Clapton stated he wouldn't perform at any venue that required vaccine mandates (and months prior to that, he had released a song criticizing those things, as well as excessive lockdowns). Soon after, May stated about the importance of vaccines and basically called Clapton and anybody who didn't get jabbed a regressive idiot. Cue the usual sealions clapping to their respective teams.

GG Allin is the first one who comes to mind for me. Only concert where you would be willing to pay more to be in the back of the crowd.

I guess if we are going with living though Kanye comes to mind. Also Tom Morello. I dunno why, but him screaming about how capitalism is evil and ruining this country, while charging high prices for his concerts has always made me laugh.

This isn't really the full story, Clapton DID get the jab, that's the problem. He had a bad reaction that crippled his hands and now feels uncomfortable supporting something that hurt him personally. Hardly an antivaxxer.

These are new medical products, it's not fair to punish somebody for a real thing that happened to them.

I see. Well, all the news outlets I read made it seem he was an anti-vaxxer and immediately sided with Brian May, which is how I ended up phrasing my recollection of the situation.
In the end, it was the same situation as the Offspring now ex-drummer, who got kicked out of the band for not being able to take the vaccine due to his medical condition.

Yeah I saw the news too, it's kind of unfair to call someone who actually took the thing antivax... Like everyone is told they are heros for taking it, but if you step out of line you don't get to be a hero anymore.

Its too bad about the Offspring, but I'm sure they suck these days, so he's probably not missing out on much. Speaking of.

They did that as a safety precaution for both him and the fans. They knew about his neurological problem and understood his difficult choice. Basically they laid him off on a temporary medical leave for this one tour...nothing was said about it being final. But he took it personally and launched a cow stampede on his social media over it. Then the rock mags picked it up and made it sound like they had heartlessly fired him just to own the chuds.

Wait, she's a TERF? I had an '80s new wave phase when I was younger, and discovered her music then and enjoyed some of it. In the 2010s I looked her up on social media and saw lots of SJW shit about BLM and Trayvon Martin. What else makes her a lolcow?
