It's fun to see the hashtag #AustraliaHasFallen gaining popularity just to piss off those who wants everyone in lockdown.
Ah yes, Aussies embracing their heritage of a prison colony and home of exiled Irishmen.

Also, apparently truckers have some shit planned.

Also, the hashtag is being swarmed because of course it is. At least there’s no K-pop.

Alright, one more. https://twitter.com/gronkfiles/status/1429378016795258886?s=20

this is the dumbest thing i've ever fucking read

I feel like they have been watching too many episodes of Power Rangers. Covid Megazord GO! Why are we still here......? Just to suffer....

What'd she say to get a religious exemption?
Assuming she gets it... not much. She wrote that she was very against discussing the specifics of her religion, as a condition to employment, but that her body is a temple and she abstain from a lot of foods and medications, including all vaccines (which they specifically asked about), takes safety precautions, and has already recovered from Covid. She threw in a bunch of legal stuff, which I thought might warn them that she'd be a troublemaker if they fired her.

Shit blue area, mask mandate recently reinstated. Signs on front doors currently say, "Mask recommended." Enforcement seems to be nil. Only a few places, unfortunately including schools and one place I cannot cut out of my life, act like the governor enacted a mandate rather than a suggestion. (Since when could governors instantly make laws, anyway? Don't answer that; it's rhetorical.) I expect this to change as people report businesses and the gestapo makes the rounds. Of course, every business is still requiring all employees to mask and vax anyway, so none of them actually respect anyone's rights.

On the bright side, I overheard a salty employee talk about someone trying to fight another employee over the mask mandate. Didn't overhear any more details, unfortunately.

All this made clear to me is that, even in my shit blue area, there's a significant number of people who are over this. I wish there were even more.

No wonder this thread is so against the vaccine. The marketing department is filled by literal retards.

Only two of these were remotely intelligent. One, don't treat everyone as if they're politically motivated. If you reinforce the tribalism inherent in society, you only make people more and more hesitant. The second was just having a loved one that actually gives a shit about you sit you down and try to explain why you should get it. It's not something marketers can do and is pretty niche. If I was some fat fuck with a bunch of other things that would give covid a decent chance of killing me, I think having a parent or sibling tell you that the benefits outweigh the risk is moderately compelling. The rest are completely idiotic.

Comedy could work in other situations but moral grandstanding and comedy go together like toothpaste and orange juice. The idea of having a celebrity make a cheesy pun that of course is targeted towards right-wingers is a great way to reinforce the corporate feel. Trying to refraim is as an act of aggression against covid appeals to... no one. Add to all this our recent embarrassment and defeat in Afghanistan and maybe fighting is a bit of a touchy subject. Appealing to Trump also does nothing thing Trump has not only been critical of the vaccine but also doesn't address the problems people have with the vaccine outside of their favorite politicians giving it the okay. Making it entirely political is partially why it's so difficult for these advertisers to actually feel any sense of empathy. Trying to rope people into the "the team" is very much a too-little-too-late kind of statement since it's clear that it's an "us and them" dichotomy where they don't give a shit about you if you're not vaxxed and the sentiment of "we'll drag you kicking and screaming" is more prevalent by the day. Making it more and more like a political campaign only serves to reinforce the unnecessary tribalism that's already poisoned the discussion.

They don't give a shit about you even if you are fully vaccinated. I laugh every time i see a sign saying "We're all in this together!" The truth is it's always been 'us and them', and always will be. When I mention this to others, they agree.

Just one more example of the death of trust, faith, and confidence in ANY level of government, law enforcement, judiciary, or the media.

It's so easy to tell that all of this "concern" over the virus is politically motivated. It has nothing whatsoever to do with health. All you need to do is bring out the barest hint connecting these "concerns" to one of their other countless prepackaged political opinions that occupies higher priority and watch the virus take a backseat. Oh, illegals are pouring over the southern border? Might that mean they're bringing new variants in? Don't you want them tested? You'll get a face-full of "REEEEEEE testing brown people is RACISM!"

Just because these fucks don't have the self-awareness to tell that their hyper-emotional reaction to covid has nothing to do with health doesn't mean you can't drag their real motivations out in the open. They don't want you to get the shot for public health reasons, or because they're effective, or because they'll prevent lockdowns, or whatever bullshit reason they've chosen to tell you they want. They want you to do it because the lying advertising machine that's sold them the idea that this is the Most Important Issue Ever has getting the poke as one of its tenets of faith. It's not like their stated reasons for forcing you to get it have fuckall to do with data, after all.

I favour this analogy: I can remember last year, there was a lot of the "We're all in the same boat! Teehee! LOLOL" thrown about.

We are not. We are all in the same storm. And some people who live in large homes with access to gardens, on full pay from work, or the space to effectively work from home, are those in 150 meter mega luxury yachts. The fuckers in apartments, or worse, shared housing with roomates, not sure how they're going to afford next months rent/mortgages or bills, no gardens, isolated from family, are the poor bastards in shitty little dinghies. And then you've got those who are sick with non-coof issues, denied medical care because covid, covid uber alles, or people trapped at home with abusive spouses/partners are the poorest off of all are the ones clinging to a door, hoping for best.

Never, ever forget: the people setting these policies, demanding that we be locked in our homes forever, are the people in the first of those groups.

The entire premise that you harm other people by not getting vaccinated, and comparing it to drunk-driving and whatever else irresponsible behavior is an obvious logical fallacy.
Imagine buying a car that the car manufacturers & dealership tell you will protect you from collisions with drunk drivers, then getting mad at the people with normal cars when the car doesn't protect you from drunk drivers.

Poe's Law is a thing, but I think the unconscious comment, the Pfizer plug, and their appearance gives it away.
If it were real they would say "healthy young couple" so long as they are under 55 years old and 400lbs.

anybody opposed to lockdowns is a huge faggot who cant see the bigger picture
Nah, you're just a bootlicking faggot

remember he lives in florida
and he's a fucking fatass, which is why he's so terrified. I wonder if his gunt impedes his ability to get on the floor and give the soles a good tongue-cleaning?

Fat cooftards hate, more than anything, seeing those of us who aren't so fat we're more at risk of dying of it, getting about and living normally. They know that could be them, if only they addressed their maladjusted relationship with food and stopped treating their bodies like a dumpster. But they won't, so instead they scream all the harder for the rest of us to have to live under the restrictions they feel they have to.

I've had several conversations with prolockdown/provax people and when I bring up the obesity thing they always scoff and throw out "But 40 - 50% of the US is obese! Are you really ok with all those people dying?!" And the answer is yes. Unironically yes. If COVID exclusively killed fat people, I would throw a celebration. Imagine what the US could look like without the ball and chain of obesity related issues. It extends far beyond COVID and has been dragging us down for decades now.

People talk constant shit about drug addicts but for some reason we are fine with 50% of our population being addicted to food. I can't take anyone seriously about health if they're so fat they can't even walk through the grocery store, and that tends to be who is telling me I need a vaccine.

I know you're using this as a metaphor, but I've actually had a conversation with someone who believes that once self-driving cars become "reasonably affordable for the average person" then it will be unethical to buy or own a "dumb" car because you could get into accidents with the people in self-driving cars.
"The self-driving cars can't get into accidents, so the danger comes from people."

Fat people dying would be a massive benefit, not just to society but to the planet. These rampant over consumers are an environmental burden because they take more than they need, use more than they're deserving of, including raw materials like clothing, drugs, food, water, and basically everything.

It is impossible to support the environment on the one hand and be a fattie on the other. Likewise being extreme left leaning and fat. One of the core tenets of Communism is "from each according to his ability, to each according to his needs". Nobody needs 15,000 calories a day, or enough calories to be overweight. Nobody.

And let's face it: we all know the risks of obesity. Those people don't care enough to change, so are clearly okay with dying. Why precisely, should I care about a person digging their own grave with their fork and knife?
